HELP! to message or not to message

So I met this girl in Jan last year, a friend of my cousins, we got along well and thought she was pretty much exactly my type, she went to The UK this year, she got a boyfriend briefly and they broke up before coming back to Australia about 2-3 weeks ago. Anyway we saw each other over New Year’s Eve in a large group of friends and we hit it off all night, dancing and having some good chats etc. shared a kiss on the drop, and then we all went back home (shared rental house between us all) and we had a nightcap together the two of us and shared a bit more than a kiss. Felt genuine and real. We didn’t SLEEP together but slept in the same bed. We all got up and was business as usual, she went home 

 

Anyway I’m really into her, the next time we see each other will be at a friends going away drinks in 2 weeks time. Was thinking should I wait until then just to suss the vibe and see what could happen then or should I message her and strike up a convo. Was even thinking of asking if she wanted to uber in with me and grab a drink as we live so close to each other compared to where our friends live but also don’t know her THAT well. I understand she broke up with her short term boyfriend recently so don’t want to come on too strong aswell as I understand that. Anyone have any ideas?

I’d say go for it and strike up a conversation while the momentum is still there but do not have high expectations cause she recently broke up with her BF so she could just want to have fun. 

You mentioned that it will be 2 weeks till you see her if the convo goes well I would try to set up first date within the first few days. Good luck!
