Decided to do it recently

Decided to do it recently, filed for annulment, my estranged husband whom is in jail charged with 1st degree  murder and being charged with drug charges later on lied to me. We have been married since November and I regret marrying him now. My kids now 18 and 25 from a previous relationship hated him and were right. I knew he was hiding something besides working at a shop as a Janitor. I asked him when we first dated and told me none of my business, I should of broken up with him ignoring the sign. That changed, cops came to my house with a search warrant to search for drugs my estranged husband had on Monday. I complied with them telling them he had a shed in the backyard. Cut the lock, found cocaine and marijuana including a hand gun in a zip lock bag all bloody. Cops said the gun was possibly used in a murder 3 years ago that he did. I did tell them he had a safe in the basement too telling them the combination. I remember him saying the combination one day opening it. Found money, all drug money seizing the safe and money. Did seize the shed too taking it away yesterday. His family removed all of his stuff out of my house. My kids, family and friends have been there for me for support. Said I deserve better and they are right. His family is also there for me too, they knew his criminal past would come to haunt him even worse facing life in prison without parole when convicted of 1st degree murder

Wow, that's some heavy lying he's been doing, sorry you're going through this. It's a horrible emotional experience to realise you've been in a relationship with someone you didn't really know. You feel stupid, you feel conned, and you feel angry. I hope your kids aren't doing the "Serves you right, you should have listened to us" thing because that won't help. I've often found it to be true though, your close friends and family who care about you are often better at judging a potential partner's character because they're not affected by the hormones that drive attraction, they see the give-away personality traits that should be a warning whereas the person experiencing the attraction tends to be blind to glaring flaws. Do you have a support system? What if he happened to get off the murder charge, would you be safe where you are?  Are you liable for any debts he may have that you don't know about?

I have my family,friends and kid's for support. No debts he left. He did confess doing the murder and found out his finger prints are on the gun
