Geoffrey
I pray to the same Creator you do, I'm sure. We were made in His image, a little lower than the angels. PUSH = Pray Until Something Happens Thanks so much, UT....she is off her depression meds and is facing some enormous life issues right now. I can tell it made her sad to see me again, just as it did me. That little house just holds too many memories for me...we talked about some of them the other nite. She feels sorry for this other guy and doesn't want to leave him (she claims she loves him...whatever!) I do know that sympathy/pity and true love are two very different things....she doesn't understand this. I just can't reach her anymore....I do believe it's time for me to get out of the way and let God do his work on her now.... May the Lord be with you.
lexilas
WHEN DOES IT GET BETTER!!! It's hard to say exactly when the pain will get better but I do know that a week and one day is too soon to feel anything positive. I suspect around the one month mark you'll start to feel an ease in the pain as you begin to get used to what has happened and start accepting it. Also - you should realize that (sooner or later) you will have to make a conscious effort to forget about the pain, it won't just disappear by itself. So, try to occupy your time with something else - perhaps go bowling, or take up a leisurely class during the week; a part-time job might be good. I know it's tough - hang in there.
