Men and hair dye?

Recommended Posts

What do women think of men who dye their hair?

I'm getting very gray and won't dye it. Just too fem for me. Next thing you know I'd be skipping around and hiding flowers under my skirt. But it doesn't matter what my opinion is.

Aside from dye issue, how does gray hair influence your dating choices?

I don't mind if women dye theirs. And the rare women with lavish long gray hair can be very attractive.

Depends on how you look with it. If you have a young face and grey hair I would think it would go better with your face if you dyed it. If you have some wrinkles, it would probably be ok to leave your hair as it is. Same with women, some women look older with grey hair, but when they dye it they look just right.

I dated a guy in his 20s (same age as me) who had a baby face and short hair that was mostly grey. He wanted to dye his hair and I wouldn't let him, he looked way too hot with the grey hair. It was really sexy the way it was and I thought it looked fake dyed. I never thought I would like someone with grey hair at my age but he made it work, some people can make it work for them.

if it takes that little to make you homosexual, i would say you were well on your way to begin with.

I thought younger women would automatically be repelled by grey hair.

Thanks for the comments.

I think guys with grey hair can be attractive. It really just depends on the entire package. I also think some bald guys are really attractive, but when my ex started losing his hair- looking at him repulsed me.

Anyway, if you are uncomfortable with your hair being grey- by all means die it, but don't do because you think women won't like it.

He can go grey, house gerbils, and pray to Budda, and still be attractive to women. Others could do the same and fail with women because they're not Richard Gere.

Same has been said about Jack Nicholson. I could have a gut, comb a long flap of hair straight back, and talk funny, but in the end I'm no Jack Nicholson.

Still an encouraging comment. Thanks

No I'd never dye it. I think men who dye it are acting fem.

Do women not see straight men dying their hair as less manly?

It's like putting on make-up.

I make one exception. Knew a man with dark hair except for a quater sized patch of white. He got tired of people thinking he missed a spot on a poor dye job. So he started dying it.

I see I spelled it wrong.

It can be properly spelled either way. Sopelling it with an "a" is more Americaqnized but both spellings are proper and interchangeable.

As for the issue, I'm rather profoundly gray (grey) with a lot of silver shot through the few remaining dark brown areas. My wife loves it and that's all that matters. It doesn't bother me a bit and started when I was about 23.

Nah. It's even hotter for a guy with a young face to have grey hair.

Nothing sadder than men living their lives in fear of being considered gay. But the answer is NO. However it does seem excessively vain to me. In both genders.

Actually, I think it really depends on the guy. Some will look better with dyed hair and some will look better with the grey hair. By the way, Steve Martin does look better with grey/white hair. This dirty blondish color he had before looked awful.

As I get older I am more and more attracted to a man who is greying..

I prefer my man not to dye unless he already has a full head of hair and its just a solid color. If he wants to add some mild color differential in it then I don't mind but nothing drastic.

If he is grey then that is his color differential and I love it. I think grey hair makes a man more distinguished, handsome, and he appears to be more mature.

My bf sometimes dyes his goatee because its greying and I don't like it when he does that. I ask him to leave it grey but he chooses not too. Most of my serious relationships are with men who are greying I just love a mature looking man.

Being that I regularly dye my hair weird colors (right now it's burgundy), then no. I don't care. As long as it's not Just For Men or just covering grey.
