What is a boy to do?

Recommended Posts

*Sigh* Okey, naturally as a male one of my current problems has to revolve around a beautiful woman. I mean, that’s the way the cosmos works right? Right.

Mmm, I don’t know how I feel about her. Currently I feel a level of pity for her current situation. She’s sleeping with some random guy to fool herself that she is over her last boyfriend, that moved about a 2 hour drive away and was sleeping with this chick whom we all knew. I kinda knew he was a total scumbag, but Im not the type to get involved with other peoples relationships, Im a dire believer in that love will take care of itself. Not to mention at the time I had a girlfriend of my own, and the girl in question is best friends with my ex to this day, but friends with me as well.

Anyway...

After me and my Ex broke up, I started sleeping around, getting drunk... ahh... crazy stuff. Anyway, about 4 months later, she FINALLY finds out that he was sleeping around on her for a ridicules amount of time.

She still wanted to be with him, even after all that.

Now, lets stop right there for a second.

That is what I would like someday. No, not to be able to sleep around on a woman and have her still love me, I would NEVER do anything like that. Im too... devoted to my girlfriends. Always trying to make them feel special, wanted.... etc...

I mean, it was an unyielding love. She STILL loved him, even after he totally screwed her over. He was such a lucky jerkoff, words cannot express my anger on how he totally gave up something few of us ever have.

Bleh.

Anyway, she came online today, told me that she was sleeping with someone else to feel... special.

To feel... wanted. Something she hadn’t felt in a long time.

I tell you, my heart just about broke right there. I mean, Im usually a tough guy but this girl has a special place inside my heart. Im not sure if either of us would find ourselves in the placement of love for each-other, I mean truth be told she’s a practical goddess and well, Im the Average Joe.

But, I just don’t know what to do. I’ve helped her so much in the past, trying to give her sound advice on matters of the heart, but Im really stumped on this one.

It sounds like you are in the friendship zone; very hard to get out of that.

Since you know her pretty well, you might have to step up and say something. I personally believe one should try to speak your thoughts and feelings. Have you ever shown your true feelings?

Without pushing her away you might have to take a stand.

The tough thing about this kind of situation is it is based on being physically attractive. You are concerned about her because she is so attractive that she captivates you. The kind of things going on with her are happening all around you minus the beauty. It is just the drama of relationships.

The advertising industry, and just about everything else now, even the Weather Channel:laugh: knows if you want to capture and hold someones attention just put a pretty gal in the picture.

I think the course of action would be to tell her that she doesn't need to be sleeping with that guy to feel special because she is special. Then you can tell her how special she is to you and this should make her feel much better than sleeping with some guy could. And I mean really lay it on. Not just "you're special to me" but "you are so great because _____and ____ etc." This doesn't necessarily have to be a confession of wanting to be with her if you don't want to go that route.

The only way shes gonna get over jerk guy is to date other guys. Just let her **** and she will eventually get it out of her system. Might take a year or two.

The reason why he had her so devoted to him is he didnt give a damn about her.

Thats why normal shmucks like us will probably never have someone love us like that. Ballanced love isnt crazy love. Its healthy and its warm but its not fire and passion.

When you have an unballanced love(one person who loves the other more) then the person who loves the other more tries harder and harder to get the other to love them like they love ...um...them...you know what i mean. And in the process then become more and more inlove to the point of obsession and forgiving everything and everything they do, because they think that by doing this they will show the other how much they love them. And the other will suddenly realise how in love they are.

Its a stupid cycle that intensifies as time goes on. Its painful and destructive.

She will eventually get over it, but shes gotta keep away from this guy.

So thats why its ok she is with these other guys. When she grows up some more and grows more confident , she will find someone who treats her well.
