littlekitty
If you starve yourself you actually put your body into a starvation state where your body actually starts to hold onto fat rather than to loose it. i.e. Anything you intake will be stored because your body is in starvation mode. You won't continue to loose weight and you will also slowing down the metabolism. You'd have to do this for a while to see results and this IS NOT healthy. As soon as you stop you will regain anything you lost, and more than likely MORE than you lost. If you want to gain confidence and loose weight, then change your diet and start eating healthy and start exercising. Diet and exercise are the only sure fire way to loose weight safely and keep it off.

littlekitty
You're welcome honey!! Have a word with your Mum, I'm sure she'll point you in the right direction. You'd be surprised how much you might notice if you cut out fizzy drinks and rode a bike for say 30 mins 3x a week! It often doesn't take much to have an effect! Good luck!! Cutting out fizzy drinks, caffinate drinks, reduce stress levels, and 30 mins of riding a bike, did it for me. If not for the weight loss, get it for the feeling good from endorphines. Exercise helps every part of the body, including the mind!

Outcast
Stay away from the megaburgers and fries. Fat piles on calories faster than anything else. If you have a choice between an order of fries and a chocolate bar, you're much better off to eat the bar.
catgirl1927
I am a HUGE fat of Weight Watchers. Seriously. I lost about 60 pounds over 9 months, and I've kept all but about 15 of it off for 3 1/2 years. It's slow, but it WORKS. The faster you lose it, the faster it comes back. There are no quick fixes, those are all dangerous and counterproductive. Small changes make big differences over time.
Guest
hey everyone, basically i really want to loose weight quick its more of like a mental thing to make me feel good about myself. e.c.t now i brought a book that says it is possible to stav urself, but.. how long is this possible just to live of water.e.c.t? thnx for your help. x lisa x If you want to feel good about yourself then starvation isn't the way to go...as littlekitty said before, not eating just slows down your metabolism and makes your body go into "starvation mode" and you retain all of the food you eat. Because of this your weight will balloon up and down frequently, and you will feel guilty every time you "break" your rule of not eating, thus making you more depressed. I suggest you first sort out your problems with self image and self esteem and then choose a suitable plan that mixes healthy eating with exercise.

Terii
Or you may use appetite supressants... just some pill that makes you feel full. It`s effective sometimes. Maybe it`s not as healthy as natural weight loss but it`s a bit faster.
Noos
You can't lose weight quickly. But, I would suggest cutting out most white foods except low-fat milk and cottage and ricotta cheese and upping the vegetables and salads. Fish, lean red meat and chicken are good too. Watch your portion sizes. You can be eating all healthy food but eating too much of it. Switch to low-cal fizzy drinks. Stay off butter, use spray olive oil when you cook food. And eat chocolate if you want it occasionally - but make sure its the 75% cocoa stuff because it's better for you and only 100grams at that. If you don't exrcise, start off with walking for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week and build up to an hour.
fundamental
put a lot of hot sauce on your food... you will lose weight quick
scarletletter
WATER, WATER, WATER...drink lots of it and drink nothing else. You will be pleasantly surprised. Also eating a light breakfast is a sure fire way to lose 4-5 lbs quickly. If you don't eat breakfast, you body will think it is starving and store the fat that it has. A piece of whole wheat toast and srambled egg whites are a perfect breakfast with protein and carbs to give you energy.
Ladywithafan
3 weeks ago...I weighed 145...5'5"....my normal weight 120....don't ask...must've been all the booze...so.. I cut out the soda, popcorn, candy bars, & bubba burgers (yes, they're great but 28% fat...where I work is with guys that do maintenance on a property & they're always eating...then feeding me) ...and now, weigh 136....I want to get down to 125/120...drinking TONS of water as well... I've always worked out but have slacked off in the past 2 years...also my age, 44, puts me into that slower metabolism range at this time.... for breakfast, banna & yogurt...both small...lunch...salads...dinner...1/2 of whatever my boyfriend cooks... Will also be getting a bike soon....
Chloe89
hey babe! the quickest way to lose weight is water-fasting...but itz realli hard to do, for one your blood-sugar level drops waaaay down, it affects your emotions from euphoric states to drowsiness. n the longer you fast, your body literally begins to eat itself. i have a friend who was gonna juice-fast for 30 days in prayer and after 23 days she had to go to the hospital bc of her kidney...the dr. said if she waited 2 more days she woulda died... but not everybodys the same. as for me, im gonna try to water-fast 40 days, then ease out of it w/ juice-fasting. i dunno what will work best for you, maybe water or juice fasting for a week n then calorie-count... but w/e you decide to do i hope it all works out for yazz!! Outcast
Don't be a fool. You will die of starvation if you water fast for 40 days. For God's sake, why will people willlingly do horrible things to their bodies but not do something easy and fun like exercise? DO NOT WATER FAST FOR FORTY DAYS - IT WILL KILL YOU. RecordProducer
hey everyone, basically i really want to loose weight quick its more of like a mental thing to make me feel good about myself. e.c.t now i brought a book that says it is possible to stav urself, but.. how long is this possible just to live of water.e.c.t? thnx for your help. x lisa x It depends on how heavy you are now. But basically the quickest diet is to eat almost nothing for a few days then have a nice balanced diet so that you don't make up the pounds you've lost. If you add walking, jogging, and swimming to it, you can have tremendous results in a week or two. Of course, it's not good to not eat, especially if you're under age 20. You can screw up your whole body and end up with bad blood-test results and severe hormonal imbalance. Women who don't eat have no period - so you can imagine how you turn all processes in your body upside down. You will be tired, weak, easily irritated, and in a bad mood. Your body will miss the ingredients it desperately needs in order to survive. Your bodily functions get messed up as your organs run out of energy to make your body function properly. These things can't be corrected over night and may even leave permanent traces on your body if combined with other negative factors. Try to eat fresh salads without any dressing or oil (one tablespoon of olive oil has 120 kcal!), chicken breast, fish, non-fat yogurt and milk, eggs (one yolk and 4 whites), cooked veggies (spinach, broccoli, a little potato or a carrot, cabbage, eggplant, etc.), fresh fruits. Eat 4-5 small meals and go to bed hungry if you want fast results. How ever, no matter how hard it is to be hungry all the time when you're on a diet, to RETAIN the desired weight is way more difficult!

It's slow, but it WORKS. The faster you lose it, the faster it comes back. There are no quick fixes, those are all dangerous and counterproductive. Small changes make big differences over time. Right on! I did WW before my wedding last year and lost 17 pounds in about 2 months. I found it extremely easy and if you're not big into excercise, you can still manage to loose weight. Of course, excercise is encouraged and helps a lot, but there were women in my group that only worked out 1 or 2 days a week and did great! (Psst... WW considers cleaning your house for an hour a work-out... ) I think i would have done better had I been willing to give up (or significantly cut back rather) on booze! A 4oz glass of wine is 2 points... do you know what 4 oz looks like? The really nice thing about this program is that you don't really have to give anything up. It teaches you about moderation and portion control. You really think about what you would prefer to endulge in... 17 regular potato chips for 10 points (I don't really know if it's 10 pts) or 17 Fat free chips (which taste pretty great!) for 1 point. That's 9 points you save for something really worth it (you know, like 18 oz of wine!!)!
Nirvanac218
My probelm is I found my self eating all the time. So I been taking a Apetite supress pill.
