Recommended Posts

I was wondering what the biggest mistake you have ever made with a women was? The reason I am asking is I just found this website and they have a write up of the 10 biggest mistakes most men have probably made with women.. So what are your mistakes? I know I have probably made most of the mistakes that are listed on that site.

The worst mistake I have ever made was wait too long to ask someone out, or wait for magic moments or opportunities were it would be right to talk to her and things would work out. These maladaptive habits have resulted in a loss in GPA average and taking difficult science University courses I should never have taken in the first place with the hopes that by being in the same lecture class or room with a girl of interest, I'd eventually work up enough courage to ask her out.

Basically, one should ask someone out within 5 minutes of meeting her, and anything longer than that is a risk of mental health. So in order to maintain one's sanity, one should be honest with themselves, and ask someone out they like and is interested in at the earliest practicable opportunity and let the chips fall where they may.

I mistook being young, immature and hormonal for being in love.

Thankfully, I got a second chance at age 50 when I was neither young nor immature and my hormones were in balance. I fell truly in love.

The second biggest mistake I made was not putting the energy and attention toward the first marriage that all relationships need and deserve.

I think one of the biggest mistakes I've made is reacting when they're experiencing a melt-down. While it's fine to set boundaries when they're being emotional, it's up to us not to be emotional. Sure it'll happen from time to time, but all in all we're the ones who are supposed to be the "steady eddie's" in the relationship. It's a crap double-standard that they can act on their emotions and we're not supposed to... but it's a reality. They see it as weakness.

I've made too many mistakes to count with women. I think the biggest mistake was moving in with someone even when I wasn't 100 percent sure it was something we were really ready for. Turns out those instincts of mine were right on, and it was a disaster.

Like everyone elses, fell for her, timing, didn't make the move, door mat, nice guy, alpha guy, revealed ones feelings, didn't ask her to move in, etc...

Should have made the move when she was smitten and attracted to me.

Just requires a balance and understanding. I have learned alot from LS and noticed the errors of my ways.

Curmegeon and Smoochie Face - is marriage really so bad? is it something to be avoided?

Just wondering what your experiences have been, and most importantly, your advice as to what it really takes for a marriage to work.

Another one, is if it is an easy girl, is telling my mom about her, freaking my mom out, and my mom ordering me not to meet or have anything to do with her in panic. That is a surefire way to blow up any internet connections.
