curious jane Posted March 22, 2006 Share Posted March 22, 2006 Hey - so here is the thing i am a 28 year old female, and my b/f is 31 and we have great sex he can go and go and go, so much that sometimes i have to bat him off of me... So his friend gave him a Viagara pill and he wants to try it, to me i am thinking why? he thinks it will highten orgasams ect... but i am totally satisfied as it is so i am starting to see it as 1. a bit agressive what happens if i am all f***ed out and he just wants more and more. 2. it is like he is experimenting with drugs as we are not 60 years old and dont need this help. For me experimenting w/drugs is something i am not into i did it when i was younger and i rarely do it now. He has been experimenting with drugs and it has been bugging me and i think this can be clumped along with this.... i dunno am i over reacting or is it like drug experimentation, or perhaps just personal perferance? The side effects are headache, facial flushing, and upset stomach - there are also complaints of sensitivity to light and blurred vision - is it worth it? On a serious note, it is dangerous ( as all drugs are ) to take prescription drugs without a doctor prescribing them, it can cause serious problem if your other half is taking other meds etc etc. Link to post Share on other sites

As an ER Nurse, I can tell you that yes, there are side effects to Viagra. #1 it lowers your blood pressure. Not is NOT good. Viagra is a very serious drug, all though because of its purpose, people take it very lightly. I would never reccommend a person take viagra because he wants to highten his pleasure, he is so wrong. It will not highten his pleasure, just his cock. AND, because Viagra stimulates blood flow to the penis, I assure you it will be erected for awhile. I have seen young healthy men, have adverse reactions to this drug, mostly related to the lowering of the blood pressure after it has been ingested. It is Rx for a reason! I have never understood why someone whose sex life is fine and has no problems getting or keeping an erection would take this stuff. No one should take anything like that unless the doctor has said it was ok or that they needed too. For your b/f who is 31 takes a pill a friend gives him, thats pretty elementary. I first tried it after a messy painful breakup. I was so stressed from the break-up that it was very difficult to attain an erection with another woman for a few months. The viagra I obtained was not trough a Dr. but through a friend. I'm not saying it was a smart thing to do, however in my case, there were no adverse side affects. It did the trick, got me up and going when I wanted to be. That's about it. The only downside was my face felt a bit flush and tingley for 20 minutes. That's it. After I got my confidence back, I didn't need it. I have since never had an issue attaining an erection. So why have I used it probably a dozen times since? Well, for me, it eliminates the down-time between sex sessions. I could literally come, pause and keep going. Let it be known I didn't HAVE to keep going, but I COULD. That's it. I haven't taken it in probably 8 months and don't intend to unless a friend had some. It's too expensive to buy. Like I said though, taking it without a perscription is not smart. Some people experience side effects, some don't. The side effects are generally mild. Note, I said noticable, because I can't decern a change in things like blood pressure. Also, the effects of viagra are very noticable whether or not you need it. Your BF will find it extremely easy to achieve erection, and his erection will likely be harder (more blood engorged) than normal. He very well may find this sensation pleasurable and an aphrodisiac. Also, he is more likely to be able to have sex again quicker. That is, the refractory period is shortened. I found using viagra pleasurable. A possible pychological consequence is that he may get used to these "super" erections, and not be as pleased with his normal erections. Of course, I wouldn't recommend using a drug without a doctors ... yada yada yada. Supposedly people report tissue damage and all sorts of things from using them. Some of these people end up needing viagra due to damage caused by their cockring. Just a personal antedote here: I was using a cockring once and forgot about the time (easy to do when you are enjoying yourself ... I'd use a timer if you're going to use one of these things !
