How a woman can tell if a man will be lazy

Recommended Posts

If you are dating a man check out his apartment or house.

Is it clean?

Can he at least cook basic meals?

Does he wear clean clothes and do his laundry

Take a look at how he takes care of his own speace when he is single for a prediction on how he will take care of the house when you 2 are married.

that's bull what happenes when a guy is too busy working putting in long hours and has no time for picking up around the house

and besides some of us guys just get maids so you girls don't realize we can't cook or do laundry

LOL! That is too funny...

I can tell you this. Before I moved in with my hubby - While we were dating his house was clean and organized...He cooked abit too. He did laundry, clean nice clothes...

Fast forward 13 years later..............

He doesn't cook, he doesn't really clean up (does dishes and most of the laundry though so I ain't complaining!) and I have to say, he does wear clean clothes, just that instead of dressing up - He wears more comfy clothes now than before. Guess cuz he 'has' me, he doesn't feel the need to look all nice and shiney like a new quarter! Does smell nice still though.

So, all I can say is, you can't fully judge someone on the state of their house. People change, get into habits (good and bad) later in life. I know I'm much more disorganized now than I was when I first moved in here...I'm the messy one and I think he is as lazy as I am. Neither of us let that stuff bug us though, stuff gets cleaned up when 'company' is coming over...(Hense my mom!LOL!) Then the house is perfect!

Is it clean?

picked up, neat tidy (no papers or misc stuff laying out), uncluttered (likes open space and not alot of stuff around-simplistic), wiped down (not disinfected). Likes to burn scented candles. vacuums at least once a week.

Can he at least cook basic meals?

He can broil a awesome steak and shrimp.(not a carb man.)

Does he wear clean clothes and do his laundry

He washes almost every day but doesn't sort colors. He will wear the same pair of jeans for 2 days if he doesn't work.

O yea WWIU--He SMELLS so good,..

I can't help but think this goes back to your feelings about women... if they do X,Y, and Z, they are NOT feminists who hate men, if they do THIS, they are. The world isn't so black and white. When I met my husband all his underwear was pink b/c he didn't know not to throw them in with a red shirt. He could barely cook top ramen, and anything with more than two ingredients was something only a professional tackled.

None of that proved he was lazy, only that his education by his parents had been inadaquate. A good woman will look past this to see the true measure of a man. Only a woman who is looking to be taken care of, or looking to see if a man has money or something will care about these things. JMO.

:lmao:

Yeah, that I am WELL aware of...I do my best NOT to be like my mom, ever...

What makes me laugh sometimes, is being at my sis's place and she gets abit grumpy-assed, my bro-in-law says to her..."Hmm, you're starting to sound like your mother..." Wow does that piss her off!! He and I laugh, but she realizes it and stops. Neither of us wanna turn into our mom's. ;)

If this is true then look out.... Ill be a neat freak, clean freak (she washes down the walls in closets once a year.), I'll be openly overly opinionated, and heavy into my religion (moreso then I am).. hmmm not too bad.. but... I need to be me.

I couldn't agree more. I have no problem picking up slack for my partner, if he does the same for me. That's the whole interdependecy thing.

There are always exceptions.

Also, what if he's neurotically obsessed with his mother? Norman Bates.

You are naturally assuming that all women are tidy housekeepers.

Both my bf and I are messy and we like it that way. He knows how to cook and do laundry.

I'm his lover and friend not his maid.

well look JAGG, if he's 40 yrs old and still living with mom then his mother is probably in the 65 to 75 age range and may need assistance or someone to care for her. It is not as improbable as you may think...

I would get the impression that a man is lazy, if his shoes are untied, if the inside of his car is embroiled in it's own germ warfare, if his hair isn't clean, if his kitchen and bathroom look like the inside of his car.

There is a huge difference between messy and filthy.

Women in general tend to be much more perceptive and observant than men and I think the avg woman would pick up on this stuff fairly quickly.
