Seeking Posted September 17, 2001 Posted September 17, 2001 I am confused. What's the difference among " seeing someone" , " dating", and " going out with someone"? Are they all the same or are there subtle differences?

These are terms that are individually defined by the person using them. They can be used interchangably and mean the same thing. Each can also mean something entirely different. However, each intimates exclusivity and at the same time suggests seeing, dating or going out with not only a specific person but other persons as well. If someone uses any of these phrases with you, ask for immediate and precise clarification.
