Leahh
Hi everyone! I've been dieting for about 2 weeks or so... I know they say you lose a lot at the beginning because you are only losing "water weight." My question(s) are, when does it stop becomming water weight, and how much water weight do people typically lose before it's real weight that's comming off? I've lost an ok amount for the amount of time i've been at it, but I'm concerned it's all fake and just water, and not real weight. any answers would be appreciated
scobro
the body can only lose about 3 pounds of "body fat" in a week. The rest is water or muscle. We have a glycogen reserve of about 6-8 pounds so you can lose 6-8 pounds of water in a day plus there is the possibility of burning amino acids in the muscle as fuel so that could contribute to more weight loss that isn't fat.
