Texas2004
I have a female co-worker who I have grown close to. There is a lot of flirting that goes on between the two of us, much of which has to do with teasing. I guess my question is, if a girl is interested in a guy as more than a friend, is it natural for her to do a lot of teasing? My own opinion is that she chooses to do this to show interest without being too explicit (because I think we both know it would be inappropriate to carry on a relationship at work). Anyone have any similar experiences that they could share?
Curmudgeon
I've said it before and I'll say it again, don't fish in the company pond. I worked directly with a woman I respected and admired professionally and liked personally for three years. She then left the agency we both worked for and went to another. Due to the nature of our common profession, we had continued contact on a regular basis which we both enjoyed as we enhanced one another. She was dynamite on political issues and I was a policy expert so between the two of us we did some great things legislatively. At no time did we flirt or tease and while we were friends, we always conducted ourselves professionally. Suffice it to say, we're now in our 10th year of marriage but that would never have happened if we were still employed by the same agency. I would never have asked her out and she would never have accepted.
