Loverok Posted April 6, 2006 Share Posted April 6, 2006 Hi, My boyfriend of 7 months is putting in his two week's notice today. We work at the same company, in different departments. To put it briefly, I have been promoted, etc., while he has given up on hoping that the company will raise him above the bottom rung, and he can't afford to stay there much longer if that continues to be the case. His choice of employment is also limited by his uncompleted liberal arts degree, even though his real talent is in management, IT, and sales communication. Anyway, he's going through a tough transition period right now, and I really want to be there for him. I've offered to help him job-search but he politely declined my assistance. I've thought of alleviating his burdens by cooking more for him (we usually go out and he likes to be the "man" and pay), because he loves good food, and sex of course is a given, but I wish I could do more. He loves pleasure and fun. Do you guys have any good suggestions for making this time easier and less stressful for him? Should I stay out of his way while he's getting his act together?
