Some other ladies at work started making jokes about her having a crush on me, which really annoyed her. The strange thing is that she's suddenly stopped talking to me altogether, but is more friendly with those who were teasing her. I don't think I've done anything to piss her off. You have no control over the pettiness that goes on in the workplace but you do have the ability yourself to rise above it. I suggest for your own personal sanity that you stay above the small-minded behavior of the people you work with. The married lady who stopped talking to you because of the remarks may have done so in order that these nasty remarks not get back to her husband. She may have had other good reasons as well.
