Why are men accused of being commitmentphobes when

Thank you ALPHA. I live in the south. The area of FL I live in is about 2 hours south of GA. This is my experience as well.

I was with my roomate years ago at an ATM outside of a grocery store and this black chick tried to pull me out of the car window and punched me in the face because she thought I looked at her weird. Oddly enough I hadn't even noticed her so that came out of nowhere.

Whose bitter? Jesus effing christ.

There are white chicks who do that too...

Some people, race, gender, whatever, are just bitter people who have a chip on their shoulders. They use it whenever they can if things don't go their way....

OH yeah, I know that.

But I think people who have not been in the South have no idea that it's a different culture. A lot of Americans are very aware of the racial dynamics and stuff that go on only in their area of the country, so they have these skewed ideas of the sociocultural climate and think that everywhere is like where they are.

It's just not, man.

I went to an almost all-black high school for 4 years. They had to import the gifted program there to balance out the race ratios. I have a lot of stories, but few that I'd actually like to revisit.

I'm not racist, though, I understand that ignorance is more of an issue.

In any event I don't even know why I responded on this "sterotype theater" thread.

Because you enjoy the drama as it adds *spice* to your life like 99.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the total female population. :p

Someone - maybe it was Lindya - told me that when you start to feel this way, to completely disengage, because the individual you are seeking to explain to is probably just baiting you for entertainment purposes.

And that if you just stop responding the baiting will stop as well.

But that is so difficult it is confusing as hell.

So cool to see the change in you!

Not the old you that would bash other male posters for putting out such anti female statements or for making generalizations.

Congrats on the new you. :D

Why is that? I mean... I find this particular subject fascinating. Why is it difficult to not look away? Why is it confusing?

Nothing *new* whatsoever. I am still the same brash, outspoken, direct Dutch Bunny. With a few minor format tweaks for my own personal entertainment... and for the entertainment of a few select others. :)

Hey man, I have to do something to eat up my time. I bill by 15 minute increments. Sometimes things take me like 2 seconds and then I have a butt load of time to kill.

Otherwise I would be looking at porn on company time :lmao:

Why don't you start a poll then? Perhaps we can all be enlightened by the results.

too much hassle man....and plus, there are too many great single women around to be tied to one. I say, why limit yourself? Keep it casual and keep the romance and excitement alive and leave them wanting more....then move on to the next one and repeat

Whatever floats your boat. I don't see it as a hassle. You just need to be patient and open-minded. I like being with one other woman who makes me happy in all ways.

I'm willing to be that if there was a female poster continually posting 'men are shxt because of X' posts to the encouraging chorus of several other female posters, they'd all be banned.

ITA.

One reason women initiate divorces is because they know they may receive spousal support and will most likely get the children. In states where men have a greater chance of getting children, the rate of women who initiate divorce is lower.

I agree with the other posts. Men get lazy in relationships, and that is so frustrating. What's even more aggravating, is that they still expect to get laid like at the beginning of the relationship even though the man has gotten lazy. I don't see how it is so hard for a man to realize that the same things it took to get a woman are the same things you must do to keep one. I mean, look at older couples. Chances are that they are holding hands and showing affection to each other outside the bedroom, or at least that's what I have observed.

Men stop being affectionate after they have been with a woman for awhile.' They get lazy in relationships, then they wonder why they get laid once a month or maybe not even that. After all, why should the woman keep putting out when the guy doesn't do the little things he did that made her so happy?

Or maybe I just date crappy guys! lol:lmao:

Some women expect men to be mindreaders. I used to be one, and that really doesn't help. I do think that a man should be thoughtful enough to do something nice for his girl every now and then preferably without being asked. And to be honest, I don't think it's very romantic when I have to tell a guy to go buy me my favorite candy or whatnot. Anywayz, a woman ,or either partner for that matter, should share their feelings about the relationship otherwise resentment builds up when one doesn't meet the other's unexpressed needs.
