for my Brother in Law

Ok ,my brother in law has been seperated from his wife for i guess 3 or 4 yrs now .Well he nor his wife have the money to pay for a divorce and they have 3 kids.Right now he hasn't seen his kids since Christmas Eve 2005.I used to see the kids all the time but the las time i have sen them was the first week of the yr in Jan. She moved the kids and herself to another town with her boyfriend which at that time had started dating again .She moved to the other town for about 2 1/2 months and then came back.Thus i get an email from her stating that there first child is not my brother in laws and that her last name has been legally changed as of March 6th this yr.

 

She has had no contact with my brother in law or me since the begining of the yr.Now she also has told her children that they are not to have any contact with there dad,because now they have the kids calling her boyfriend dad.It is just a really mest up situation and i feel really sorry for my brother in law.I try to give him support and advise.But was wanting some advice from you all,since some people give some really good advice.

 

Please tell me what u think and what can i tell him to do .He has been saving some money to get a lawyer but its still going to be a another couple months i am sure.

Stand behind him all the way .Pull your family together and see who's willing to help financially on these childrens behalf .The longer he puts off divorce ,the less he will most likely be intitled to.If he goes ong stretches of time witout seeing the kids, a court may not find that he needs to see them more often.

Some jurisdictions are now penalizing parents for parental alienation, which is what she is doing. Tell him to talk to a lawyer and local social services people. What she's doing is a form of abuse.
