Guest
I need some advice, I am a very jealous person, and seem to be causing my own relationship problems. How do you stop being jealous? It almost seems like I am pushing my partner away.
movinon05
Jealousy stems from insecurity. It can be real or imagined and can cause irrational fears. Google "jealousy" and you will get a lot of helpful information. I can tell you from experience that jealousy will push your partner away if it becomes too excessive. I consider jealousy toxic to a relationship. Unless your partner has given you a reason to be jealous, they will feel like you don't trust them. And if you keep it up, it wears them down. Having said that, some people like it when their partner is a little jealous because they think it means you care. But if you feel like you are pushing your partner away, you probably are. Read up on it. It might give you some insight into yourself.
