zara
Hello LS! Font of all wisdom i truly believe! I'm bridesmaid for my friend in jamaica in July. She's having her hen (bachelorette) night in the UK for all of her friends - most of whom won't be at the wedding - and family about a month beforehand but doesn't want it to be too expensive since most people are on a budget, not least those of us who are going to jamaica! So i need inexpensive ideas to cater for around 30 people, aged 18 - 60... and did i mention it needs to be CHEAP?! lol HELP!!!!

KittenMoon
Cocktail night!!! Have all the girls bring a bottle of liquor and a few mixers, or all the ingredients to a particular cocktail. Then, put together a bar, and keep mixing and tasting all night long. We did this with my friend and it was fun. A few other cheap ideas we used: - we bought penis straws for the bachellorette and decorated a special cocktail glass just for her) - pin the penis on the man (you only need paper and a little drawing skill) - bachellorette drinking Jenga! Buy or find an old Jenga game, and write fun/embarassing questions or dares on each piece. As you play, the people must follow whats on their piece as the pull (an example of a couple: "Do you think the groom is hot?" or "Sing a song from a musical in front of everyone" or "All unmarried girls take 3 sips from their drink") Hope this helps. quankanne
arrange a potluck, if one or two people can't afford to foot the bill for the food; also, some kind of theme will help narrow down costs. games are always fun, because they break the ice. Unfortunately, it's been a LONG time since I've been to a bachelor party so I cannot remember past the cake done in the shape of a penis, the tons of food and mixed drinks and the video of male strippers (which was boring after awhile – it was more fun making rude suggestions about the cake!). or, you can do something with the group of gals that you might night be able to do otherwise as a group – go to the coast, hit an amusement park, etc. I know one of my guy friends said that his ideal bachelor party would be a weekend of beer and fishing with the guys, away from all the hustle and bustle of work and wedding planning!
