phyrespryte
So it's time for me to do laundry and I'm out of underwear. I'm not one to go braless even though I could, since I've barely got a chest. All that I had left to wear that was clean, was an old padded bra. Now I've always avoided wearing it because I believed it was "false advertising". But damn. I feel all powerful. I'm sure after a couple more hours the wire will start digging in and I'll feel differently. But right now... So I guess my question is how many people think it's ok to wear padded bras? And have any guys out there been disappointed by a padded bra?
Outcast
I have also always thought of padded bras as false advertising. I have a couple that have a bit of padding (to hide stuff) but I looked and looked and looked to find ones with the least possible padding. And I don't wear them often. oss91
From a guys point of view: If you want to wear a padded bra then go ahead. I don't know that I'd be terribly disappointed when I found out the bra was padded because firstly, the size of a girl's chest really doesn't matter (for me anyhow) and secondly, I'd just be enjoying the situation surrounding the discovery of the padded bra i.e. such as taking it off. No, I personally would not mind.
visotech
Any guy who thinks twice about a woman having a padded bra is an a**h*** who is not worth your time.
MadDog
Any guy who thinks twice about a woman having a padded bra is an a**h*** who is not worth your time. So by the same rationale, would any girl who thinks twice about a guy who padded the crotch of his pants be a bitch? Or is it bitch-like for a girl to be disappionted by a guy who loses 3 inches from his height when he takes off his shoes? I'm being facetious and I don't think it matters too much. It's not like it makes such a difference that a girl who's flat is going to end up having a nice rack or anything. It reminds me of some Chris Rock humor though that basically made the point that women are deceptive: Heels: she's not that tall Makeup: she's not that pretty Badded Bra: she's not that stacked
dgiirl
Heels: she's not that tall Makeup: she's not that pretty Badded Bra: she's not that stacked hey, i wear no heels or makeup, atleast give me my padded bra! lol Besides, a padded bra doesnt give you THAT much of a boost. I'm still small, just half a cup bigger if that? I just feel more confident, which gets the guys attention.
bab
If wearing a tight shirt, it is a bit of false advertising, but the other option is to have your nipples sticking out, which I hate. So, I say go for it. When I first started dating my STBH he hated padded bras and I didn't wear them very often. Now he really likes the way I look in a push-up bra. His opinion is, if you aren't wearing a push-up, then the bra should have no padding. BUT, he thinks I LOOK the sexiest when I FEEL the sexiest. Kinda funny that the most common types of bras (those with a small amount of padding) are his least favorite, and of course I wear those the most. But hey, I figure if the guy gets to see you without a bra, he probably isn't going to be to upset if you chose what you like the best.
lindya
So I guess my question is how many people think it's ok to wear padded bras? And have any guys out there been disappointed by a padded bra? Why wouldn't it be okay? False advertising? Maybe, but I think most men who have a reasonable amount of experience with women are aware of such things as padded bras, make up and heels. Obviously if you're wearing padding to go from 32AA to 32D then that's pretty ludicrous...but I think most women use these props as enhancements rather than disguises. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I say carry on padding them out...and if a guy's more interested in your cup-size than in you, I'd say it's very sweet but a little misguided to trouble yourself about his feelings. blind_otter
I think padded bras make boobs look weird. They aren't shaped that way naturally. I feel weird when I wear padded bras. Like I have growths on my chest that look somewhat like boobs, but don't feel like them. I also have no problem with nipples. I mean, they're THERE. Whoever invented the female silhouette without nipples really must have loved Barbie.
catgirl1927
Dolly was right. "There's no such thing as natural beauty.":p But seriously, check out all the women celebrated for their beauty and tell me which ones rolled out of bed and looked that way. I hate the idea that if you don't look like Jessica Alba when she wakes up (cause bless her heart, she is pretty even then) should just give up and not try to look good. "Just accept that you're not good enough." LOVE that.
blind_otter
My Mom has these bras from I swear the 1950s that make her tits look like rockets. Unsexy silhouette.

johan
...I also have no problem with nipples. I mean, they're THERE. Whoever invented the female silhouette without nipples really must have loved Barbie. Nipples should be kept in their place. There is a time and place for everything, and that goes for nipples as much as anything else. They should speak only when spoken to. magda
I avoid them because they make my boobs feel weird from the outside. I haven't worn one in years. My nips are not very attentive though so I don't any extra layer for that.
SoleMate
Well, if you wear a 38AA like me, about 95% of the bras in the marketplace are padded. So there really is very little choice. It is very rare that I even find a bra my size of ANY style, so I basically buy every one that I can find. For me, padding is not a choice. If I want to buy a bra, it's probably going to be padded. I prefer very light padding for modesty only. However, the manufacturers think I want ample padding for shapeliness. Now, if you're 34C, then you have a wide range of choices. catgirl1927
I think there is a lot of thought given to the moral implications of a padded bra which could be better used elsewhere. I mean, who really cares? If a padded bra makes you feel better, so what? "False advertising"? Geez.
Spiderman
Reminds me of a joke :- A man goes into a department store to buy a bra fro his wife OK. What type of bra?" asked the clerk. Type?" inquires the man "There is more than one type?" Beads of sweat began rolling down his back and forehead. The clerk replied "The Catholic type, the Salvation Army type, and the Baptist type. Which one do you need?" More confused our here asked "What is the difference?" The lady responded, "It is all really quite simple. The Catholic type supports the masses, The Salvation Army type lifts up the fallen, and the Baptist type makes mountains out of mole hills."

Not at 38DD, I don't. If anything, I need a minimizer!!! As some guys say, "More than a handful's a waste..." - pde.
WoWaddict
I'm a 34B right now... Most of my bras are padded, but its because theyre push up... as ive become more and more comfortable with myself over the years ive been buying bras with less and less padding. I've been taking those breast enhancing vitamin things because i would like to be a 34C, but I dont want surgery. Anyone have any experience with those or know if they work? I've been taking them for like two months now and I've noticed a small increase and ive been really sore, like worse than PMS sore. So I dunno if its just wishful thinking and my minds playing tricks on me OR they actually work.
BUTAFLY
Funny story The first time I took off my bra in front of my now exBF he asked me where did my chest go, (atleast he waited until after we has sex to say that). well we had a bad break up and he told all his friends I was "false advertsing". That was the first time I heard the phrase. Needless to say I went bra shopping and NO more padding for me. I
BUTAFLY
WoWaddict, I think its been proven over and over by scientists and doctors those pills and creams don't work . I'm a 36b (so says the bra fitter..I think more like b-) I would love to be a 36c, not to attract men but to balance my body. I'm tall and have hips but it looks out of proportion to my chest. My girlfriend wears chicken cuttlet inserts I think she doesn't need to because she is petite, 5'5" 32b. Her chest is in porportionate to her demensions.
