sadfriend
Has anyone ever had this happen to them or something like this happen to them? Say you met someone online that's real home is only a little over an hour away but they are overseas doing some work. Well, for a little while they will be back home so you two make plans to meet up but the plans to meet fall through and they go back overseas. Well, not only had you been chatting with them online but you were also chatting with some of their family members to get to know them also. Well, one day you have to work a public event and you get a call from one of their sister and the sister that called you and another sister are going to this public event and want to meet you. So after the public event the sisters and you meet up. Needless to say you find out from your “Online Possible Love Interest’s” sisters face to face that your "Online Possible Love Interest” met a guy while working overseas and has been seeing him for awhile and she is engaged to be married to him. You confront your “Online Possible Love Interest” about the news you were told. She admits that the news you heard is true and that she had been trying to set you up with one of the sisters that you met face to face. Strange excuse, huh?
KittenMoon
This sounds like it would make a great movie script...
aleatoryd
It depends whether you like the sisters! I'm in an online situation myself and te person mentions their family and puts sister (aged 24) just like that in brackets. I'm thinking why put that there? When you only know a person through the internet things are very very different to real life. It's like the twilight zone..
Author sadfriend
Will ONLY, ONLY EVER be friends with the sister that she was trying to set-up. And good luck to anyone at being ANYTHING to the other sister cause she is such a SOAR face! Could not barely get her to laugh! If understanding correctly, the sister she was trying to set up had NO clue that her sister was trying to set her up. Also, if understanding correctly, the sisters just wanted to meet in person just to see if they approved of a “Possible Love” Relationship happening. Talked online to some of her family members to just get to know them in case something actually became of the “Possible Love” Relationship. So that was a lame excuse for her to say that she was just trying to set-up her one sister when her sister had no clue that she was being set-up! Feel sorry for the guy that she is with cause I’m sure he has NO CLUE that she was setting up a meeting with a guy that is back in the States close to her real home, no matter what her real intentions were. Sounds "interesting" Also, if understanding correctly, the sisters just wanted to meet in person just to see if they approved of a “Possible Love” Relationship happening. Seems odd that they meet you under those circumstances and then tell you that she is seeing someone else. Very strange. I think she was probably holding you in reserve as a backup b/f or someone to have fun with when she is back home. Her sisters let the cat slip out of the bag so to speak about her being engaged and so she had to lie about why she was playing you along. I think you are better of as far away from that girl as possible. Too many complications and manipulating for my liking. I agree I feel sorry for the guy who's marrying her. Author sadfriend
I agree 200% about staying as far away from her as possible!! It is just mind blowing! I know no one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes but when someone is in the position of work that she does, I would have thought that she would never be the type of person to do something like this! Even though people in her position are not perfect and do make mistakes just like everyone else!! If I was her work leader and I found out and got proof that she did something like this whether it was on my time or hers, I would have put her on a plane back to the states at her expense!!!!! She is a representative of her work! Then the man that she was to marry would have came up to her work leader and asked why she was sent back to the states, then her man would have been told everything. As far as I know, it is not illegal to state way someone was "fired" from her type of work like it is with other work places. Has anyone (male or female) ever had anything done to them like the main "FIRST" post above? Whether the one that was doing it to you was a girl or a guy? Out of all the people in the world this can't be the only story about something like this happening to someone?
