Jessie61
You're right. I think this is what I'm going to do, but I'll have a chat to my friend about it later, and then sleep on it, and then read this thread again. Then I'll reply to him tomorrow. Thanks all... and please write more if you think of anything else... I'm still pretty much thinking it through. Sami, Take your time. This situation isn't just going to go away, is it..? And, more to the point, we will all be here when you are ready to talk or whatever!!! We are on your side here... :bunny:
movinon05
Okay, okay. Just so you don't get a swelled head, I think we were both coming to the same conclusion! But you did nail it for me!
Author Walking away
Yep. We will support you in whatever decision you make. And YOU must be comfortable with your decisions. We can offer advice up the wazoo, but ultimately, the decision is yours and yours alone. I just want you to make the healthy choice for YOU.
Jessie61
Whew! I was wondering if the margaritas I drank yesterday fried my brain! Thanks MO! Fried brain, WA??? No, you never have to worry about that....

movinon05
God... I wish you guys could have been there with me. It was so relaxing and carefree....We need those moments so badly! Okay, you midwesterners....I am sending my brother back to you today! Are you guys SURE you don't want to meet in Chicago?! I am not a midwesterner. And to tell you the truth, yesterday was a good day for me because I didn't make myself go into work like I planned. I decided to just take the day to do whatever I wanted, which was not much. I'm losing motivation with each day. It sucks!
movinon05
Yes, you have made perfect sense! I'm still not wanting the "live-in" relationship, but perhaps because I am still carrying emotional baggage from my marriage. Yet, honestly MO... I have always had a hard time waking up to the same face morning, noon and night. Maybe I am one of those people who need to be on my own. When I think of retirement, I think of boundless opportunities and things I could be doing that would fill the void. I am sure I will have days where I long to be with someone but for the most part, I feel my space will out weigh those times. Who knows, I may have a change of heart, but for today and for all the yesterdays I feel content on my own. I can see where you are coming from, but I do want to see the same face everyday. And having been on my own all this time, I hate having to do things I enjoy all by myself and not having someone to share it with. Being alone sucks in that regard.
Author Walking away
Movinon, Hang on girl! What about the biker dude?
Author Walking away
Rc, I want a companion to share experiences with someday, but I do not know that I ever want to get married again. I, too, am very happy alone. But, someday I hope I would find someone to share the important times in my life with me. That, to me, would be a wonderful situation. I don't do well with marriage.... movinon05
Movinon, Hang on girl! What about the biker dude? He called me yesterday. Sounded pretty cool. And he wrote to me this morning very early, suggesting he couldn't sleep because of me! I'm not about to fall for that. We don't even know each other! He can't see my picture anymore because I got off the dating site, and he's disappointed at that! But I don't want to hear silly things like he can't sleep because of me. Albeit, it might have just been tongue-in-cheek. But I'm not about to take that seriously. My BT left me a voicemail yesterday suggesting renting a movie or something, but no pressure. I called him a few hours later and thanked him for calling, said I was just sunning myself, and was still not feeling like doing much of anything, but if I changed my mind, I would let him know. Weird, but I just feel like being by myself for now. This also is subject to change with the wind!! lol!!

movinon05
Well then there's also one of the four guys from the site who e-mailed me yesterday about talking on the phone this weekend. But he's moved to the bottom of the list. He does appliance repairs and stuff like that for a living, but he also makes a living playing poker on the side. THAT moved him to the bottom!! movinon05
So then, a conspiracy. Hmmm. I think the conspiracy is that they just want to get in our pants!! lol!! However, I can't fathom a bug guy would lie about what he does to get in my pants!! lol!! or even a repairman/cardshark!! God forbid someone gets insulted if they read this, because its so so silly!! But you would think they might paint a picture of something more glamorous. Then again, its a picture and not reality!! No need for liars!! I'm actually blasting my stereo to the oldies now. Cleaning and dancing and drinking (it is after all a holiday weekend - that's my excuse!!!) Is it good enough??? My kids are setting to leave for their father's and I have the whole freakin house to myself!!! I'm up for grabs!!
