So here it is Saturday night no H no MM and have decided to be a hermit..I'm not sure if I'm in a slump or what..I was invited to a party, declined. my father came to town and called my home to ask to see me and I didn't return his call. have you ladies (or any mens on here) gone through this " I don't want to leave the house " phase? but its not bad a thing 'cause heres what I am going on tonight ...I'm dressed like a little kid (puppy pj's and pig tails) I have two seasons of absolutely fabulous I just started watching and a whole bunch of junk food and ice cream-yum! ohh can't forget the bottle of jeagermister I have chilling. it's a slumber party of one. Author Walking away
I, too, am home tonight. Got sent home from work yesterday with the flu.... Still recovering today. Yes, there are times when all I want to do is stay home. I think sometimes it is nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of life for awhile and just relax and be by yourself. And I don't get that very often with 5 kids! I see it as time to rejuvenate myself.

Author Walking away
More human tonight, thanks. Felt lousy all day yesterday and all day today, but I am coming out of it now, thank God! Thanks for asking. You know, it is times like these, when I am sick, that I miss having someone around to take care of me. It is times like these that are the hardest parts of being a single mom. I just miss having someone to hold my head while I throw up or someone to sit with me when I feel lousy. Thank God I don't get sick very often cause I tend to get lonely when I am compromised physically...

eyeswideshut
I was going to start a new thread, but everyone's here anyway, so... Here's the thing. I know I have to go NC. So I won't go on and on about how I'll do it, or when I break it...I just need a distraction now so please bear with me. It's kind of like what are you doing to go on?, except it's "what do you normally do during the week?" I don't know if we're allowed to get all personal here, but anyway, here goes my week: Work 40 hours as a teacher run 30 min. a day meditate 15-20 min. Friday nights babysit my nephew (or go for drinks with friends) Saturday too sometimes go for Sunday brunch practice my piano (everyday) read (when I can) spend lots of time on LS clean apt. and wax and look at myself in mirror
movinon05
All I have to say is.... Tra la la la la la la la la la la la la la la:bunny: :bunny: And you don't get to this point without serious NC!
zarathustra
Yes, i think I will too. I also ordered that book from Amazon,"Not Just Friends" because I kept seeing it quoted on Loveshack. I also think I stumbled upon Glass' website once upon a time when I thought I'd find all my affair answers on a website. Good luck with the date, MovingOn just google and download it. Free is better. Its not a self help book but a book studied by many in philosophy in the stream of Existentialism. Its kind of like reading parables in the bible.
zarathustra
What I did this weekend... hung out with friends all weekend with my H. Told my best friend what xMM said to me during the week and realizing that if I want to keep the friends I have in my life right now, I can never be with him for they will never accept someone who treated me so poorly and they will never forgive him for what he's doing to me, even if I'm a softy and can forgive him. I remember that when my x-fiance and I broke up, I vowed that I will never sacrifice my friends for a man again. That if he wants to be part of my life, he needs to work hard to be part of my friends' lives too. That when it came down to the wire, that my best friends are more important to me than any man will be. They are my family and my xMM will never be part of that and so we will never be together again because of that. I have used this to remind myself a lot before going away. I hope my work life becomes more normal again now that I've found my way again.

I just told him how busy I was when he called on a Friday (I didn't actually have any plans) and that if he didn't call and make plans with me by Wednesday at the latest, then I won't be able to go out with him at all. I told him I was busy that night ane told him that schpeel when he asked for a Saturday date. Since then, throughout dating me, he always set up something with me by Tuesday. This is kind of a first for me, so I need all the help I can get. Thanks for the warning and suggestion, but I don't think these guys are going to be last minuters. I'm afraid they're going to start too early in the week and I'm NEVER prepared to make plans early in the week. Something always comes up. But then I can't give your excuse to all of them or I won't be able to come up with how busy I am on Friday when its only Monday!! That could backfire on me!
