sensitive skin-hair removal .

Ok I'm sure this has been done before but I don't see anything about this.

I have sensitive skin.. Very sensitive skin..

I am tired of shaving with a razor in the bikini area...

I'm sick of seeing bumps and ingrown hairs after shaving.

I shave and the remaining bumps are broke open and bleed and look aweful. It makes me self-concious that if I'm with someone 'he' will think I have a STD when its actually razor rash/cuts.

Is there any kind of remover like 'Nair" to remove bikini hair and not burn the skin or cause major irritation..

I'm afraid to try a cream out of fear of burning my skin in that area.

Is there anyone on LS who also has sensitive skin and has tried any of the cream type hair removal for the bikini area and had good results with minimal irritation?? (I need to get away from the razor....)

All e-humping aside ;) I can't use any depilatory creams at all. It's like I poured acid on my skin. Waxing works well for me.

It just sounds painful ripping the tape off. ughh

I don't feel comfy going to a profession with my legs spread open with some chic spooning melted wax on my groin and then rubbing a peice of tape across it and then

RRRRRRRRIIIIIIIPPPPPPPP...............

I have a Male Gyno... do you think he could do it?? :lmao: :lmao: JK

Lighter fluid and a match

I bought the electric body razor.. it comes with a razor screen and can be used in the shower and used while wet and it also has the guide so I can keep trim

They work great for me.. and I do know that they have body razors for women too

All the products that I tried ( almost all out there ) that were creams like nair for the pubic area burnt the s*** out of my skin to the point it would peel off days later..

Hmm. if there is a screen that wouldn't get too close of a shave would it? I've tried different elec. shavers for women and OUCH--they pull the hair and still leave a rash.. I don't think that would work to well.

Im thinking creams or maybe waxing. I'm nervous about both...

Yes, brazillian. I have a girl who does it for me, I am NOT tough enough to do it myself. It is very painful, I'm not going to lie. But it only hurts for a little while and then is tender the rest of the day.

Sometimes I have redness and spots, sometimes not. The key is to exfoliate and moisturize in between. It's all about maintenance.

The shear fact that you are in a hot shower makes the shave closer..

since they are wet razors you have to watch or the shave will get to close

I've used Nair or nair-ish things in that area before without much trouble. I don't know how sensitive or not I am though. Still, I didn't find it that much better than shaving, all things considered. It is stinky and I'd always worry that it wasn't washed off enough and I'd get an infection or something. The directions say to wipe it off with a washcloth and don't use soap, but it never felt like it was off all the way because I could still smell it.

Seriously, if you can afford it...even one treatment at a time with a long of time in between, you have got to try LASER TREATMENTS. My lordy, they are amazing. I don't know how I survived before it!!

If your skin is that sensitive down there - why dont you weigh the costs of actually letting it grow a little and only keeping it trimmed? No razor burns, no acid burns, no lazer burns, no ripping wax and no hole in your pocket.

Its what i do, my hubby doesnt mind as long as it doesnt get in his mouth when he's down there. He says it increases the smell and heat when i am turned on and he likes it.

If you have sensitive skin like me, i would recommend it highly.

Are you having trouble controlling THE VOLUME OF YOUR VOICE???? :lmao: (Austin Powers movie reference. I laughed.)

I'm not exactly running around outside naked, thanks though. I'm very modest and not exactly happy with my body so... But it was VERY uncomfortable the first time, if the girl who does it hadn't made me feel so comfortable with her professionalism I don't know if I would have gone through with it. I go to a really nice salon and this person was recommended by someone else.

catgirl--I was flipping out... I was doing one of those dances --ya know--

- with your knnnes pulled in, your body twisted, toes pointed inward (looking like a man who got hit in the balls), hands in my crotch screatching OUCH OUCH OUCH... as I was about ready to fall to the floor with the severe look of pain on my face.. eyes squinty, tears ready to roll, teeth gnashing, face turning red, nose crinkled up and eyebrows in a grocho marx look...

As I read about that kind of waxing i was imagining the arse hairs being yanked and the pedals of my lilly being pulled as the tape was being ripped off my ....................................... I wanna cry just thinking about it.. OMG...

to top it off... I have let less then a handful of men down there with there faces so to think of having someone down there makes me uncomfortable.

The first time I had it done, I came home and my BF took one look at my face and laughed and said, "Oh, no, baby, were you violated?" I've been doing it for over a year now and it still makes my knees watery when I remember how much it hurts.

I have to do deep breathing exercises to go to the doctor, believe me, I know about modesty. But I trust her more than a man, anyway, she's not judging. She is such a nice person and makes me feel totally comfortable. But if you can't do it, you can't. I sure as hell hope she never quits or moves, because I'm not sure I want to go through that with another person.

I want to get airbrushed tanned. In order to do that, you have to let someone paint you. That means I have to be in a thong in front of someone else (at least at the waxers I have on a shirt) AND the place I would go only has guys who do it. Well, one is a gay guy and the other one is almost done with the transition, so she's a she now. Still. I have to lose at least 15 pounds before that happens.

But hey, beauty is tough.

:lmao: :lmao: I still don't think I would do a braz... anyway. I like to at least know I am a woman and not prepub.. bikini wax possibly if they last longer then a razor.. I can trim what is left as I already do now.

As for airbrush tan I have considered that also. I heard there are booths that spray you also??

I am so damn white.. I use to be known as whitie because if you throw me in a snowbank bareazz you wouldn't find me except by blue beady eyes and strawberry blonde hair... :lmao: :lmao: I glow in the dark.

Im the right weight for myself I just need toning in the thighs. It's not too bad. I am a little self concious in a bikini and I've been told I shouldn't be... I know what I use to look like when I was 18... Had the body of a goddess I was told.... Over and Over. Was voted the nicest azz my Junior year in HS... ;) Being Airbrushed wouldn't be that bad.. Isn't it $$$.?

I do know how you feel, though. At first, it's really, really weird. "Oh my Gawd, what is she doing looking at me like that down there... stoooop!" But believe me, these are professionals. (At least, the woman who waxes me is!) She's not even going to look twice at you "like that", she sees it every day. Kind of like a gynecologist, or a nurse - and they see it all day long.

It hurts like a mother the first few times, but after a while, you actually get used to it. It doesn't much bother me anymore, but the first time? Oh, man, I was sobbing, going "Never again, never again".... But it obviously worked well enough for me to keep going back.

The creams never worked for me at all. As a matter of fact, I received skin burns using one of them (can't remember which, but it was nasty). And I hated the razor thing, too.

- pde.

I've been tanning in mist-on booths for a while. It's fine, but airbrush is nicer. I'm addicted to the brazillians, I love how clean they feel. I am not a fan of body hair.

Must be nice. I work out 6 days a week and diet all the time, and I will not allow ANYONE to see me in a bikini. EVER.
