Yeah, you know my boss isn't in today, so I have the radio on. I'll be damned if they haven't been playing all of our old songs today. I just can't believe it! And during the lunch hour when I know he takes lunch, some very specific songs were played and I thought, I wonder if he's hearing these!! I'm not getting depressed or anything. I usually shut them off and some of them I swore I'd never listen to ever again - like the one playing now. But it seems if I don't let myself go down that path, I can get through them without a tear drop falling. I guess you'd call that some progress!

That's pretty much what I have been working on.....

I do believe more awareness should be shed on this subject. It has been such an eye opener with everyones shared experiences.

I really am going to bring some other perspectives to the reality when it comes to the OW! or OM! I certainly have come to realize in my own situation and others, that all is not what it appears!

I just had a funny visual! I've always pictured WA with class and dignity. Can you picture her now chasing after a rattler with a bat and chopping it up with a shovel!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey WA - ;)

Hey. I am here finally. Just got home from work.

You guys crack me up!

For you information: my dignity goes out the window when I have to kill a rattlesnake. I throw bricks at their heads and THEN chop them up to make sure they are dead....

Trust me....I have the heebie jeebies the WHOLE TIME! As far as tarantulas...they really are sweet. And, they are so shy. Quite cute, really.

Come on you scaredy cats....Arizona is beautiful in spite of the creepy crawlies here...and I will protect you. I promise!

Zara, get your butt out here!

How appropriate to have this thread posted after my weekend....Whew!

I was down with the flu on the weekend. It started on Thursday through to Sunday! I was screening my calls and felt totally blah!

On Saturday morning my door bell rang and guess what? When I opened the door, low and behold was my exMM. Remember, I have been N/C for

5 1/2 months. SHOCK! SHOCK! SHOCK! Also keep in mind, I looked pretty damn haggered from being sick. He also looked very gaunt! Lost alot of weight that he really didn't have to loose because he had a great body! He asked if I would hear him out! I gotta tell ya all I don't believe it was the flu that made my knees weak!

So, I let him in! Yes! That's right! I let him in!

He told me he during the time we have been apart that he has no appetite, can't sleep and cries all of the time. He also told me that his head was such a mess, he figured if he went on-line to those "Dreadful sites" he just may be able to get me out of his head! He said that though he had lots of conversation with many, nothing could get me out of his thoughts. He said my N/C email sent him spiraling downward even more! He needed to see me again!

He asked me what it would take to have him back in my life. Honestly, I didn't know what to say! He said he was so miserable in his marriage and I made him feel so alive! He also said he was very afraid of me in an emotional sense because I shut down something so wonderful. I quickly reminded him of what he said to me "I will never leave my marriage" for history sake! He said that was then and this is now and he had no idea that he fell so in love with me. He went on to ask if he left his marriage would I want him in a committed relationship!

I told him that if he is going to leave his marriage that I should not be the reason. That when people leave marriages it is truly because they are unhappy and love is not present. Should he leave his marriage that it must souly be for that reason. I also told him that I don't know where this road would take us! I was being real when I said, how the hell do I know what you are like to live with and maybe you wouldn't even like me when push came to shove. I said I can't make any promises at this stage of the game. He asked if we can continue for a few months and then begin to discuss future possibilities where he would be definate with his decision.

I know the right thing to say would have been leave now and let's go from there, but he was such a mess, I just couldn't in that moment.

So.......

He cried, I cried and then we had......well...you know.....

it was FREAKIN FANTASTIC.....the BEST EVER!...and I didn't think that would be possible.

I am no longer NC and have no clue where this will go. Except one thing is certain, I will be here walking the tread mill right along with all my friends.

*Sigh*

Tarantula = cute? I'm not so sure I believe you about that. If I come and see for myself and I faint, will you please not laugh at me when I 'come to'?

As for me, if you kill the rattler when I'm in town, maybe I'll make snake soup or fried snake? It can by yummy, no? What do you use for a dip for that? I imagine a cool ranch dressing would be kinda nice.... mmmmm....

Actually, I have had breaded rattlesnake...and you guessed it...it tastes like chicken! (It wasn't one that I killed, BTW....)

And, yes, Zara, you DO dip it in ranch dressing.

See? You are a southwesterner already!

And yes, I will help you if you faint....I'm a nurse, remember?! :)

I guess its because my xMM left and then went back to his W again afterward that I'm so apprehensive. I don't think that she's a better person than I am or that I'm better than she, but I know that I treated my xMM with more love and gave more of myself to my xMM than his wife ever did. As a result, I felt so crushed when everything fell down like a house of cards.
