Author Walking away
Now, in all honesty, I have to say this: There will always be good guys and bad guys that pursue us. That is life. But, our job is to sort through that mess of men and throw away the bad ones. For whatever reason, I have been attracting a whole nest of men...some good but many not so good. (I hate to say bad because they may not be bad....just bad for ME) I am shocked, though. I have five kids and live a quiet life. I don't go out hardly ever and I spend most of my time with my kids or a precious few good friends. I have no idea what is going on.... Even I am perplexed...
rossm
Just keep that pesky OW away from you... Well what a coincidence. She actually just CALLED me at work this morning. Typically she just IMs me or sends e-mail. Needless to say, I was quite surprised and totally tongue-tied. So I listened to her. In the back of my mind, I wanted to say "stop contacting me". But listening to her voice put me in this trance and reminded me of how it once was. So I didn't do it. SIGH. ARGGGGH.
Author Walking away
Cheers right back at you, RC! I think I WILL have a Bud now....and a smile...
Author Walking away
She IS a pesky little thing, isn't she? You must have some magic MO JO, Ross. When you don't hear from her are you okay THEN? Or is she still infecting your mind even then?
rossm
She IS a pesky little thing, isn't she? You must have some magic MO JO, Ross. When you don't hear from her are you okay THEN? Or is she still infecting your mind even then? I think I'm OK. I mean, I still think about her, although not as much since I've been trying to stay away. Not seeing her or hearing her voice definitely helps. She's been trying to IM and e-mail me, but it had gotten to the point where that was just like spam; impersonal words on a screen. Hearing her voice put a personal touch to it all. It's hard to block that out. I can't imagine what it would be like if I actually ran into her somewhere.
Author Walking away
You are doing great, Ross. You really are. You are taking the proper steps to remove yourself from this difficult situation. Be proud for every day that you get stronger and stronger. I think it just takes time and NC really helps that along.

It's raining men... hallelujah, it's raining men! lalalalala! I kill myself sometimes. To Ross... you know what? When your heart is ready to let go... really let go, you will be ready to tell her firmly not contact you again. You and your wife will get better so long as you BOTH put the effort in it. movinon05
Oh Ross, turn away, turn away. You didn't respond to her and now she's calling you. She's not getting the hint.
