zarathustra
Unfortunately, you probably will. But its not like you can't get over it. With time, it becomes a distant memory. Its just harder for you having to see him all the time. If its possible and for your own sanity, if you can do it, then I'd go work someplace else. Having him there all the time is always going to be a thorn in your side. *sniff* too bad... I was hoping that I could just never feel anything for him again... not even sadness. I will be resolved to finding myself a new contract soon. I feel in some ways obligated to stay as I've put so much of myself here, but you are right... my sanity is at stake. He told me that he would quit and go elsewhere so that I could stay, but I'm not a perm staff here so if anyone should go, I should be the one going. Besides, our team needs him. Well that is noble of you, but I wouldn't believe one word of it! He's probably trying to come off as the good guy, but in actuality, do you really think he'd do that? He's already shown he knows how to lie and get over on you! I'm sure its all just words again. Love to see him try it!

I'll tell them if I've not found another role that I'll stay for 1/4 year and will only deal with short term renewals.

OldEurope
WA, The phenomenon of "always" attracting the wrong type (or suddenly a series of them) is a very interesting state of affairs, and can sometimes be attributed to a certain way you are unconsciously comporting yourself. That is to say....in coming out of a hurtful relationship, women very often take on a "defiant" air. Perfectly normal and to be expected under the circumstances: no one wants to be in such a situation again, or played the fool. However. Too much of a quiet, subconscious, "I'll show him!(them, etc)" state of mind will be interpreted by weak, unhappily married, hunting-for-a-quick thrill men as an invitation to a conquest. You may seem, to them, impenetrable, "happily" single, out in the world after your own prey, and they think---Ah here is that independent fantasy I have! Please do not misinterpret what I am saying here. This is by no means a criticism of how you act or do not act. I do not presume to know, I am speaking here a theoretical possibility. Weak men are very attracted to the appearance of "strong", defiant women, to compensate for their bored lives, bored attitudes, bored selves. They read a signal of "Just try and dare to get me". It can be shocking how losers then flock around. Self-confident, ladylike, beautifully mannered, and cheerful---that is you! Just keep an "eye" on any additional "radar" waves you could be sending out, leading to these current results.
Author Walking away
I understand what you are saying Old Europe. I think that is true. However, I do not think my xMM, in all of his flaws, was after a quick thrill. Perhaps I am wrong on this, but I am quite good at discerning someone's character. I think perhaps my downfall is my inherent optimism. I know that I am a good catch, and I think that just by the law of numbers, I am going to attract both good and bad men. I don't think I have a defiant attitude. Perhaps I am wrong, and I will assess my demeanor in the future. The problem is this: I don't believe I am sending out any messages. I am just minding my own business and living my life. And, I am happy. Could it be that men, both good and bad, are intoxicated by a healthy, happy woman?
movinon05
I see it as you have an aura of good karma! And that is what's attractive! Hell, I'm attracted to you!! lmao lmao!! (just joking sweetie) I needed to laugh!!
