bobisnew
Hello. I had a question on how to lose cheese fat aka man boobs. I am 18 a college student, 6ft, about 138lbs. I am skinny but fat, I have large man boobs for my size, even though I've been working out for a few months. I read all over that their is no certain way to do besides overall working out. I used to do alot of cardio,, but now lift more. I try not to do too much becuase I was told that it probably will burn muscle. I've read all forums at body building sites, was told that I have to bulk up by eatin about 2500 cal a day then I will start to gain muscle, but then I read here that cardio is the only way to lose the chest fat. I have about 80-120 g protein ever day, mostly by whey protein shakes. I eat about 1600 cal., too less or too much? I don't want to gain fat, just lose the tits, I don't really care if its by muscle or not, just want to be able to take my shirt of in public. I do very little cardio becuase of suggestions to gain weigt first, is this wrong? If I eat more calories and then burn 500 calories by cardio a day after weights, will I lose msucle and/or fat? I ]m not sure how much cardio to do. Should I have my protein shake after lifting and before cardio or it does not matter? I do have pretty skinny limbs, so everyone thinks I'm a stick, but they've never seen me with my shirt off. What should I do? Oh, and my gym is only open 4 days a week for now. I have to lose the tits by beg. of Aug. Thanks alot
Outcast
Get yourself to a physician. This may have nothing to do with fat (obviously at 6' and 138 lbs you're not fat) but about hormones and it could indicate a serious problem. Quit screwing around with diet and exercise and SEE YOUR DOCTOR NOW!
Pink_Tulip
There is a pretty common condition called gynecomastia. It is basically where men grow boobs. It is not at all dangerous, just more of a cosmetic issue. Bottom line, go to a doctor, it is probably nothing, but get it checked out to be sure. http://www.plasticsurgery.org/public_education/procedures/Gynecomastia.cfm
Dawn82
Well it could be gynecomastia. google it up. its a condition where a man develops female like breast tissue. its more common then you would think. and pretty much the only solution is surgery. Have your doctor take a look. he/she should know if you need to examine this option. On the other hand you might just be "skinny fat". anyhow do not bother trying to lose weight. you are underweight as it is. get a good lifting routine and start bulking up. eat 500 calories more then you need a day. if the scale does not go up 1lbs a week you need to eat MORE. Cardio is really not needed on a bulk. if it makes you happy you can do it but buttom line you need to have an extra 500 calories a day. if you do cardio that means you need to eat more to reach same posetive calorie balance. oh and carido is "not the only way to lose chest fat" to lose fat you need negetive energy balance. to gain fat/muscles you need posetive energy balance. Cardio is a tool to manipulate your energy balance. nothing more. Shahar.
BeFree
This does not sound like a fat issue but one that can only be fixed by a plastic surgen. Lots of men are going to surgens to get this fixed.
Author bobisnew
Thanks for the replies. I looked up having gymno a while ago, but just overlooked, but now the more I read about it the more I think I may have it. I made an appt to see doc. soon, thanks again.
RecordProducer
BeFree has a good idea about the plastic surgery and Outcast about the hormones. My 12-year old half-brother has problems with hormones (tits and fat) and the doctor told him not to eat chicken as it contains lots of hormones. I think cutting off meat and dairy would be good for you, but you have to do hormone tests first. Talk to your doc.
