hi everybody, i live at uni with my now ex-girlfriend. we broke up about 3 weeks ago, tonight i went out with this other girl, i made the mistake of telling my ex.

nothing happened, but all night i was really worried that she'd think i'd moved on,so i thought that she might decide that she should move on.i'm worried that she's found someone else already, even though i know that it's really silly.

we live in halls of residence with a few people, i keep irrationally thinking that she's been with another guy tonight.

i know it's silly and maybe hard to understand, i know it's silly to make her jealous, and i know the thoughts and images going through my head are silly.

somebody please help

Hey Super, tell me how you rationalize this in your head becuase this is what it sounds like to me... it's okay for you to go out on a date after your break-up but she has to stay at the dorm alone? She's not allowed to go on dates? Hmmmmmm.....

If you broke up, then isn't it natural that you would move on? At least eventually?

In close, may I just say that you are in college, you are young and you have a lot of living left to do... don't waste your time obsessing over ex's. They are, afterall, ex's.

you have a point, but it wasn't really a 'date', nothing happened, we just went out with some of her friends.

she doesn't have to stay home alone, and i know i should move on, but we spent everyday, nearly all day, from october to april together. we went through so much together, she hasn't got the best health (she has epilepsy), so i've looked after her so many times.

spent the night in bed with her the other night, purely to look after her because she'd had a lot of fits that evening. we ended up cuddling and she was really friendly.

i'm confused!

He wasn't dating any one, he didn't want his ex to think that, and than go out with someone just because she thought he was doing it? ( when he wasn't really doing it) Am I right?

After a break up, it isn't over until its over, I believe there is a process you both go to, the making eachother jealous stage, the seeing who will talk first, getting back together and all the problems happening again.( thats if you both pertain in this after break up stage game.

People try to hold on to something that is not supposed to be there, and you are, but it's a break up, and you should do what makes you happy, and not do stuff to try to make her jealous...or the little petty stuff that people normally do after a break up. Maybe she really likes this person, maybe she it is a rebound to her.

but Right now your sole purpose is to realize this was a break up, end of story
