Had a really good talk

Last night talked with my ex, had a really good talk about our relationship. At first he said, you know I want to be with you and want a life with you and love you so much, I just don't want to go back to where we were. I told him either do I. He said alot of little things were bothering him in the relationship, I asked him what? He said he has already forgotten, but he knows I was not listening to him. I told him ok, I am listening so talk to me because I feel like I am the only one doing all the talking and getting no feed back. He opened up a lot to me last night, he asked if he could go to the zoo with me and my son this saturday, I told him I will think about it, but I am driving myself and my son up there, I don't want him coming and picking us up. He was ok with that. His phone was cutting in and out, so we had to stop the converstation. He called back just for a second and said sweet dreams I will talk to you later. I told him the same. This morning I called about a question with my car, that is all we talked about.

 

I don't know what this means, I told him I am not going to get strung along back and fourth with him anymore. I am not going to allow him to hurt me over and over.

 

I am nervous about going to the zoo with him and his daughter. From the past he has really dogged me out, but last night felt different when I talked to him.

 

Is this a good sign? I want to listen to him, I want to work through whatever we need to because I love him, but at the same time, I don't want to get hurt over and over again.

Yes, I want a relationship with him. We just need to learn to communicate better with eachother. Which I know is something that we both can do!
