vi_pn_babe25
This question might be retarded but I was contemplating whether or not to get my hair cut. It's really long now, like a few inches from my butt! I have medium brown, thick hair, but was wondering if I should get highlights. Anyway I guess my question is what is the hair style trend right now? Should I keep it long, like do guys prefer long to short-like maybe at the shoulders? I can be a very indecisive person especially when it comes to my hair. So any suggestions? Should I just keep it long? lol
sazzya1987
Many guys are diffrent when it comes to a girl with long or short hair I would say its what you feel like you want... If you would like to try short hair it will be a change so go for it! I used to have long hair and it was so difficult to manage! So I got it cut it up to my sholders and it was a good length but still difficult to mannage at times but it was a nice length, its the length I have now. I am not really up to scratch with trend when it comes to styles but I do see alot of girls with hair up to their sholders so maybe that is the trend now days?
norajane
My hair dresser says it doesn't matter what the trends are, you should choose styles which are good for your face and hair texture. A stylist should be able to help you choose something that flatters your face. (but yes, a majority of guys like longer hair )
Author vi_pn_babe25
Thanks for your replies. I think I'm going to leave it long, but just get highlights, and maybe just get it layered a lil bit. It took awhile to grow it out so I think I'm gonna keep it for awhile
phyrespryte
It's really long now, like a few inches from my butt! That is some seriously long hair! Why not cut off a couple of inches? I personally think that there's a point where hair is just way too long and it's kind of gross. If it gets past your rear that's definitely too much. That's pushing Cousin It territory. But that's just my opinion. Overall I think what norajane said is best. It really depends on the shape of your face.
Vertex
I think mid-back is the perfect hair length for long hair.

Now butt length hair to me is a little long and takes forever to dry; by the time it dried it is time to wash it again! I like longer hair shoulder to past shoulder, you can still get different styles by having longer hair. Yes, I'm a guy and I once had long hair, not to my butt, it was past my shoulder and made a pony tail with it.

basscatcher
Growing up I looked like a boy... My mom was a beautician so she was sick of doing hair at the end of the day and neglected mine. She would chop it off into pixie cuts. Many times I was referred to as a boy. When I turned 15 I wouldn't allow my mother near me with a pair of scissors until she promised me she wouldn't wack it off anymore. At age 18 it was about shoulder length. (I have very thin, baby fine hair that breaks off easily) I became pregnant and my hair grew like weeds.. I have kept it long ever since. It is mid-back length. I have had it trimmed and once I have almost 6 inches taken off by a damn stylist who wanted to give me a NEW modern haircut. OMG what a nightmare. It has since grown back but its not as thick or long as it was. Of all the men I have ever known in my life; they all like long hair on women.. Especially when its about mid-back in length. Soft curls or wave is femine and sexy when cascading gently over shoulders. I've thought about cutting my bangs short again but people tell me not too. They are almost as long as the back or my hair. I have it lightly layered around my face but it lays straight with a wave in it from a perm back in Feb. I don't do highlights because I don't want to maintanence of it. (I removed arcrylic nails because I don't like the maintanence.)

Isn't that funny PADA! My dad was a doctor and me and my two brothers got the worst health care. My mom NEVER took us to the doctor...instead my dad just threw us some pills, no tests, no xrays, no ruling out stuff....just the pills. WTF! The only time we saw another doctor was if we had to go to the ER for something major (which was quite rare)

You with bad health Me with bad hair.. Hmm I wonder what children of dentists suffer from? Or Horticulturalists? Bioligists? Cheifs? No wonder we live in a messed up society... Author vi_pn_babe25
Yah I think I'm gonna keep it medium length, which I'd only have to cut about an inch off. And I'm tall too, 5'8.5" so I think I look better with long hair. It does depend on your face shape, which I have a oval-round face. I hate it because no matter how skinny I get, my face still looks round, except if I get too skinny my face looks sunken in because I have high cheek bones, so it doesn't look good! But anyways, does anyone know what style would look good on a oval-round face shape?

whichwayisup
that's something alphamale would say...I can't believe YOU said that True, eh? Well, I know my hubby loves my hair long. When I'm on top he likes feeling it on his face and down his chest...And when I'm sitting on top, my hair falls over my boobs, nips barely showing..

My hair is dark brown and very long - just a few centimeters above my butt. My face is oval-shaped, although I really think it looks round or anything but oval shape. However, it's fairly thin at the ends so it's not the greatest head of hair in the world. I, honestly, don't know what to tell you since I'm trying to figure out the same - whether I should cut my hair to shoulder length or just trim the ends so that my hair ends right below my breasts. I think it'll look flattering and sexy. I desperately want some bangs, but it might look awkward. So I guess no go. Either way, go with long. And, it's up to you if you want some layers. Keep it simple.

But I'll probably have long layers cut around my face, because growing bangs out can be a hassle. I think side bangs are "in" right now, which looks cute when I use my straightening iron. But yah I'm definitely going to keep it long And like I said, I'm tall so I think longer hair looks better on me anyways!

I can't stand to see a women with beautiful hair get some crazy hair cut that looks ridiculous on her because it was "in" Shoulder-blade length might be a compromise. Yes, most men like longer hair, and it might be short enough to be easier to take care of. If it's still too long, you can always get it cut shorter, but you can't put it back on. I'm undecided on how I want it cut, probably just layers but keep it the same length. I would assume guys like longer hair. Just look at any model, they all have longer than shoulder length hair
