TERRYSPROBLEM

I found a email account that my wife had through yahoo. I was able to get the password and searched it. I found emails sent to a old boy-friend. she has erased inbox emails and erased it out of trash file. Can anyone give me advise how i could possibly retrieve any information. The emails i found are over a month old, i know from history she has checked it since then. if anyone can help please give me advise. Also is there anyway to search the hard drive to see if there are anymore email adresses i dont know about??:(

Unless her Yahoo e-mails were saved to her hard drive, there's no way you'll be able to retreive deleted messages, since they were web-based.

You can try getting a judge to subpoena Yahoo for the information, but the judge will probably laugh in your face and point to a divorce lawyer.

I doubt you will be able to retreive those emails. However, if you really wanted you could install a keylogger and capture anything shes doing on there now or from here on out. Emails passwords etc. That might help you to know exactly whats going on. Or you could just ask her about what you have found so far as see what she says.

We have google desktop on our computer. If I really wanted to, I could go in to the history part and click on cache. It would show me every email anyone read from this computer.

If you know the address, you can also just fo a search (windows function) and it might pullup some cached file--it may also be gobbledy gook, but there might be enough decipherable info for you. There was for me

God I love Google Desktop.... saves so much time finding stuff!! Brilliant app.. and would definately help in this situation, and it's free unlike a keylogger.

If you really really want to know, one can make a digital copy of the hard drive then send it off to recover the deleted files.

The other is to use an undelete software, for PC's I would suggest Undelete because it doesn't leave a large footprint.

If you are wanting to go into her email to look for something you think isn't right, then you don't trust her, and you don't need to be in the relationship anyway. If you did trust her, you should just be able to ask her about it, and trust that what she has to say, is the truth. If not, get out now. I believe that trust is the foundation in a relationship, along with communication. If you two can't work this out, by talking, instead of snooping.. it's not a good thing.

Thank you ASHNICOLE!!! Finally a bit of sanity!!! Why are you snooping in her email to begin with?? Stop sneaking around and just come out and ask her straight out. What will reading her old emails do for you? If you find out she's cheating....great....but what if she's not? She'll never have any privacy again and would you stop reading her emails if she isn't cheating? No trust at all!

Just talk to her. Tell her you came across her emails to an old boyfriend and it made you uncomfortable. Get it over with. If she's cheating you'll find out.
