a few infidelity chliches

From someone who has been through this infidelity issue and knows it inside and out. Just one word of advice for those of you who seem to be struggling with the decisions of whether or not to have an affair.

 

Just think about what life is going to be like with whichever of those people you end up with -- either your spouse or the other woman/man. If you cheat on your spouse and end up trying to fix that mistake, you are going to find out that it takes a million times more effort to fix it than it did to break it. "One moment of pleasure for a lifetime of pain." Also remember the karma rule (and if you don't believe in it, just live a little longer and see). "You get what comes around."

 

Then again, if you decide to go on and have that affair and then end up in a relationship with that person,ask yourself how they're ever going to trust someone who cheated to be with them. And if they cheated to be with you, just remember -- they'll cheat on you to be with the next one.

 

"If they'll do it WITH you, they'll do it TO you."

 

And if you don't believe that one either -- well, just keep on livin.

 

Please folks... if you don't want to be with someone -- LET THEM GO. Then go on and be with whoever you want. It's common human decency and none of us has the right to damage another person as profoundly as a cheating spouse does a betrayed husband or wife. Nobody. Let's just have a little respect for others -- and ourselves.
