Tammie
There are the lucky few who claim they are quick to suss out people's personality and character upon first meeting them. Call it a gut feeling or instinct maybe.Does anyone have stories to share about whether you were right/wrong upon first meeting someone? Thanks to all for your responses here's something to share from me, although i'm hardly the lucky ones who accurately guess about people from first contact : there's a fellow i met through another friend and the first time I saw him he was staring at me in an every way. Everything about him screamed "cold and calculating prick!". Months later i found out that this guy is famous for stirring all kinds of trouble among friends. not just acquaintances but dammit, close buddies. From that point on i knew it was possible to have gut feelings about people, maybe it's all about looking into their eyes or something. But man, since then i've been a believer of trusting your frist impression of others
Tony T
I think there is a danger about jumping to conclusions about people at first meeting. Sometimes you can be dead on right, other times you can be way off the mark. When I was in school, almost without fail on the first day of school the teachers I thought would be very nice and a breeze turned out to be the very worst. The ones I became leary about and frightened of the first day of class were the ones who were the kindest and most delightful. I admire those who can make instant (and correct) judgements about people but I haven't mastered that art yet. If you haven't, you'll need to give people time to show their ass...or show their kind side. Just pay attention.
