Guest
Sometimes i really do not know if i am worrying too much and being overly cautious. My b/f says he can't see me tonight--he is going to see his brother to talk about some things dealing with money etc. So he calls me from home and he says he is just waiting for the call and then he will leave. I ask him what he is doing and he says he is changing his shirt and shoes because what he wore to work was too warm. Why would he change his shirt and shoes just to go see his brother? He never changes to see me, that i know of and his brother lives close to his job--why wouldn't he just wait around there and then go to his brother's place. Then i heard his mom in the background--you are going out? Why wouldn't she know he is going to his brother's house or why wouldn't my b/f say that to her instead of just yeah. He said he had to go use the bathroom so said i will call you back and he said fine..i call twice within an hour and no answer...Am i being too cautious here?

I think you are waaaaaaaaay overanalyzing the situation. He said what he wore to work was too hot, and that's why he's changing. Why would he want to remain in HOT clothes to see his brother? That sounds uncomfortable. As for his mom not knowing he's going out to his brother's house .. WOW... why would his mom need to know anything? I rarely inform my parents about my whereabouts when leaving the house. If they see me leaving and ask me if i'm leaving I just say 'Yes'. I don't automatically go into the details about WHERE I'm going - WhAT for? - UNLESS they *specifically* ask. And in your situation - you bf's mom didn't ask him WHERE he was going. She just asked him IF he was going out - and he confirmed that he was. Big deal. Case closed. Let it go. K.
