Guest
Hello. I need some help. I've been married for 6 years and the romance and passion part seem to have left the door after the first year of marriage. We both have our respective careers and now that we are taking more time for each other, there is NO DESIRE at all from him or me. We have not cheated on each other (I have not and he swears he hasn't). Adding to my confusion is that he always says he loves me and shows it in many other ways like dates, dinners out, being thoughful, calling me during the day, etc. There really is only one problem and that's indeed there is no burning passion in this relationship. Are we just pretending here? Help...

Are we just pretending here? Help... No, your not pretending your in a phase where the relationship looses the passion. Does it come back? For me, it never did. That is not to say it won't for you because every relationship is different. That's the most common factor that drives people to have Affairs. They are looking for the passion! I definately can see how it happens. Seeing the same face morning, noon and night and living with a persons habits, seeing them in their true form is enough to loose the passion. Just ask yourself, have you lost the love. Love and passion are completely two different emotions. One is more physical, the other is more a state of being.
