He had to leave early one morning but i didn't so he gave me the key so i could lock up when left, with a remark that i could actually keep the key for the time being and i don't have to return it to him so soon. I think it is his way of showing his trust as well as letting you know you are pretty permanent in his life as there is no rush to give it back.
