Wendy Posted November 18, 2001 Share Posted November 18, 2001 I'm not sure what this means, but I bumped into my psychiatrist this evening at a symphony concert. When I recognized him with his wife from a distance I went up to him a smiled. He smiled back, but didn't say hello or anything. First of all I thought that he didn't recognize me, but then I wondered if it was part of his code of ethics not to interact or talk to patients outside of hours. You are correct, that's an ethics thing. If you had been alone and bumped into him on the street...and he was alone as well...he would have greeted you properly. Leave the poor guy alone.
