Has anyone ever gotten their crush

Just wondering if you've ever had a crush on someone. Did you ever get to date them? What was the relationship like? Was it a fairytail come true? Or was it a nightmare?

My SO!!   We talked online for 7 months before meeting. I crushed so hard on him!! We met on an online dating site, and the first thing that caught my attention was his pic. He was SO DAMN SEXXXY!! :D I crushed on him the whole 7 months, and then met him and fell in love!!

My wife, although "crush" just doesn't seem like the right word at age 45. However, that's when she first caught my eye and attention. Five years later we fell deeply in love on our first date and the rest is history and has been for the past 10 years.

I was crushin on my now ex within a few min of meeting him. But he had a gf. This was a college visit before my freshman year. When I got in to school properly, he and his ex broke up within a few days of school starting. Me and this other girl made fast friends of him... but he started dating her. I was sad. :(

BUT it turned out he began dating her because she was more outgoing (I was a shy one) and she showed her truly f***ed up colors soon. All the while we realized that we had more in common by leagues, and some innocent flirting occured. (NOTHING bad as i am very against ANY cheating and was actually being pursued by another guy) They broke it off, he was with me the next day, and we were together for 6.5 years. It was good most of that time, we were deeply in love, but things got rough and we broke up 4.5 months ago. :( It's been very hard on me.

Yet I still get warm and fuzzy when I remember how I actually got my crush, AND it turned into first true love.

Maybe it's called a crush because you get crushed. Totally crushed. And then you can't breathe, and then...

So most crushes are just chemicals doing the talking. But...

Is true love a lifelong crush?

There was only crush of mine that ended with us being together (until we broke up, but it was great while it lasted). I used to always see her around school, I kept telling my friends about this girl that had a certain quality I just couldn't describe. I just really had the hots for her, she was older than me too

I thought it would never happen. I did start stumbling by where she was hanging out, just to say hi and make chit chat. After a few months of that it seemed she liked hanging out wtih me too, everything was perfect except for her pesky boyfriend... who she dumped, because he was an ass.

Then I made sure I was there for her and that kind of stuff, but when she got over him to my surprise she really had feelings for me. It was kind of unexpected because all this time I thought of it as a one sided crush, and suddenly she wanted me! In fact I think she kissed me first and totally shocked me, then it all goes blurry after that

It was fantastic. We had a great relationship, got along very well, huge sexual attraction and (unfortunately?) we still talk to this day as even after splitting up we can't quite shake off the feeling. That part of it is a bit unhealthy

My crush usually fades when I find out they feel the same.

It is only a crush if they aren't interested in me :p

Crushes are short-lived.

Almost all my crushes were one-sided. Very short in length, and mainly based on infatuation.

I've yet to discover if crushes really develop into true love. Right now, I don't believe so.

My ex.

It was a good and bad thing. It was good because I learned that just because you date an older woman, it does not automatically mean that she is mature. I learned how to spot when someone tries to take advantage of me.

It was bad because I was cheated on and after much grief, I attempted to reconcile with her but she half-assed her attempts, so I wasted some time out of my life with that.

But don't ALL relationships start with a crush? You meet someone, end up having a crush on them, then they become your bf/gf. It's not like one day you have no interest in the person and the next day BAM they're your SO.

I don't think all relationships begin with a crush.

Sometimes feelings can develop over time. This is why it's important to take a chance, try hanging out with new people. You never know where it might lead. But I think a lot of people just sit on their asses waiting for some amazing feeling to sweep over them, when really they should try hanging out with new people just for the sake of meeting new people

Crush is just another word for high-intensity attraction.

I've had high-intensity attraction several times and gotten maybe two or three of them. One of those I'm currently dating but the relationship has had its ups and downs and I'm frankly wondering about our future now. One crush, however, was a long-distance crush - a girl I met in an airport. I couldn't stop thinking about her on my flight home and even into the night. I wrote her an email the next day. When she wrote back, I felt unbelievable. That relationship lasted more than two years.

1. Just wondering if you've ever had a crush on someone.

3. What was the relationship like?

4. Was it a fairytail come true?

5. Or was it a nightmare?

1. Yep. Had a long time crush on someone that my STBXH and I knew. Big time crush.

2. Last year STBXH and I separated and I went out with R. one night like usual (we had gone out as friends many times over the years) and at the end of the night we walked back to the car and about halfway there I sat down on the sidewalk for a minute and I got him to help me back up. When he pulled me up, I ended up close to him and felt his lips on my neck! The next thing I know we are kissing like crazy. It was absolutely awesome.

3. Nearly a year now and we are still together. I still have those 'crush' feelings every day even though the relationship has tempered into something more stable. It is fun, exciting, passionate...

4. Yes!

5. Not at all.

1. Oh yes I have had a crush on tons of guys.

2. I did get to date one of them... and went to prom with them.

3. didn't get into a relationship with them

4. No, he liked me but didn't want to date me.

5. In a way it was a nightmare. I liked him way more then he ever liked me, so it was nasty and sad.
