Brittanyjean06
I tried to find the best section to place this subject in so here goes Are boy cats or girl cats sweeter? I personally find girl cats to be sweeter and boy cats to just be more independant and play ful
Blather1213
i am a cat-hater. unfortunately for me, few of my friends are. so i do know that, according to them, most of them favor their male cats. they say they're more mellow, less needy, and less likely to be skittish of new people. i'm sure all cats are different though. blind_otter
All the female cats I ever had were a little bitchy, but I tend to like male animals more in general. I grew up with a female cat and she was pretty stand off-ish. I have a male cat and he is pretty independent but I like that. He roams around outside and eat birds and squirrels. But he is a cuddly cuddle stinky butt, though, and he wakes me up in the mornind by kneading my butt (I sleep on my stomach) and snuggling up on my lower back. Oh it's loverly. Tim'sAngel
I don't like cats. I think they are all mean. However, my SO has a cat, a girl, and shes getting kinda old, but she is actually the sweetest cat I've ever seen. SHe will let you hold and cuddle her, she even comes to you when you call her, like a dog. SO is always ruffing her up, and where most cats would attack him, she just lets him do it, sometimes she'll bat at him and playfulling bite him. I think shes just lazy lol
KittenMoon
My cat, 2-yr male, is a super sweety. He is friendly and snuggly, but likes to play as well. He is very attached to me. He acts like a tough guy, but can be really wussy sometimes. For example, when we visit my grandparents, he mostly stays in my bedroom. He's allowed out, except he'll sit at the end of the hallways and meow for me until I come over. Generally only then, with me by his side, will he venture out further into the house. I've had girl cats as well, but they have been more reserved. Of my family cats, the males have been most easy-going, and the females more reserved. Some of the girls have been vicious though. It's really a cat by cat basis- just like humans they all have their own personalities. Did your cat come back Brit?
jerbear
Most of the cats I encountered are each their own. The male cats are more wusses while the female ones would be more bold and mark me with their butts and seek to be petted. One male cat was a fraidy cat! Scared of new people, scared of heights, scared of a mouse, scared of thunder, and always hid under the bed.
Author Brittanyjean06
I think all cats come with their own personality, hopefully the next female cat I get is as cute as the one who ran away ( answers your question ) But I just hope she is okay out there and maybe some day come home Boy cats seem more aggressive more playful, but I guess its all how you raise them to right? blind_otter
Yeah. My boy cats have always been sweet as sugar pie.
basscatcher
I have two of them in my apt right now. Female is 10 months and the male is about 5 months. She is a whiney, snotty, skittish, sassy little snot and I really don't like her. She struts her stuff around the place like she is the queen bee and carries herself like 'look at me!'. I can't hold her or cuddle with her. She will come to me and let me pet her maybe 3-4 strokes and then she walks away. She isn't affectionate. She is always tense. The male is a hellian.. He is a brut. He is sneeky, extremely playful. He will watch me and test my patience so see how much he can get away with. Yet he is the one who will come up to me and love on me. He will purr and cuddle up with me. He relaxes with me. I have found this to be the case with every cat I have encountered. Female cats seem to be just pure bitchy..... Anyone want the female? I'll give her away. I'm actually thinking about bringing her to the Humane Society and telling them she is a stray and has been hanging around the dumptsters for the past few days... The Boy is my gfs so when she gets enough money to fix him and pay her deposit she will get him back... I want a tomcat!!!!
jerbear
Boy cats seem more aggressive more playful, but I guess its all how you raise them to right? It is possible. If that is true the women that raised the male cats to be pussy cats? :lmao:
Tim'sAngel
I hate male cats because they spray all over everything!! There isn't much worse than that cat pee smell!!!  And it isn't like you can potty train them

I never did encounter those problems, maybe I'm not at her place most of the time. Or more interested in the girl than her cat.

quankanne
males tend to be a bit more aggressive when not neutered, from my experience, but each cat has it's own personality. I will go on record to say that Siamese kats are real bitchy (based on past ownership), while tabbies are pretty laid back, esp. the orange tabbies. that's what I want, a sweet orange boy, but DH say no more babies because we added my mom's dog to the family last November. Tim'sAngel
Anyone who has cats in their house are irresponsible? Hmmm..... Nope, just me. I don't like cats, but for those who do, more power to ya!!
Outcast
I have had some of each and all the boys have been total simps and completely devoted to me (too bad they're only cats ). A couple of the females were less cuddly when they were younger but got *very* affectionate as time went on. However cats are really individuals - as you can see from the different answers. The trick is to get a kitten whose personality you like. Cats aren't mean at all. They are very loving and devoted. They're just not so obsessed with you that they pee the floor when you show up

I've read a lot about cats because I like them so much and I don't think this one is going to become affectionate. Her personality is too prissy, sassy for me. I still think I need to get rid of her.. The offer is still out there if anyone wants her!! She is beautiful she isn't a high affectionate cat! She won't get in your face. SmoochieFace
I used to have a cat when I was married and he was like a puppy... very affectionate and loving. Not mean whatsoever. My XW now has him and I'm okay with it cuz I am into bunnies now.

Author Brittanyjean06
This is how I see it, It all depends on the personality of the cat example If you have a mean girl cat she will be bitch If you have a mean male cat he will be aggressive and bitchy to It all depends on if the cats personality is stable haha If you have a nice girl cat she will be loving and affectionate if you have a nice male cat, he will be playful and affectionate
