Guest Posted July 7, 2006 Share Posted July 7, 2006 Well. Im 26, my boyfriend is 29. We have been together for 4 1/2 months. I love him dearly but he is driving me crazy. We live about 2 hrs away from each other, so I tend to drive to his place one night during the week if I can, and we take turns going to each others on a weekend. for the last month, everytime I call him, he's busy playing computer games, and either says he doesnt want to talk cause hes busy, or doesnt listen. he never calls me, He says he hates talking on the phone, Ive told Him this upsets me, as I would like to speak to him at least a couple of times a week. he doesnt ever invite me out with him and his friends, he says there rough and doesnt want me associating with them, he has ditched our plans a few times at the last moment, because his friends have invited him out. He never wants to come out with me and my friends. and Gets sulky and manipulates me into sometimes cancelling on them. When were together, sometimes he can extremely loving and sweet, but we tend to argue a lot. He tells me he loves me, and when hes drunk, tells me he wants to one day marry me and to be the mother of his future children. He hardly ever spends any money on me (i dont expect him to, or want him to spend his entire wage on me) I tend to sometimes end up paying for him. He won money on a poker machine last weekend, and had given most of it away to his mates, and bought them all bottles of Jack daniels, even the bar staff a bottle to have after work as a thank you for always serving him and being nice, even tipped a lingerie wattress $60 to put her skirt back on, as he told her its degrading doing that for a job, but when I turned up, he hadnt bought me a thing, and than only bought me 2 drinks. he sometimes hangs up on me and doesnt answer his call, if he is out with his mates. He gambles too much money away, which he promises me he will stop, and smokes a joint a day (hes a different person when he smoke)., but promised he wont when hes going to see me, which lately he seems to be keeping his promise. He gets into fights when hes at the pub(always protecting girls who has been hit by her boyfriend or some guy at the pub) he plays the hero so he tells me. He did the first non selfish thing last weekend and cleaned my car. I love him, but I feel as though Im putting in 110% effort and hes putting in aabout 30%. He told me. that this is the way he is, and either I except him or leave him I dont know what I should do, Or am I being too demanding, and except him the way he is. or leave him Link to post Share on other sites
