Moles/Freckles/Sun-damage

Okay, the one thing that I am really self-concious about is my skin. I have numerous moles/freckles/sun-damage, and I feel as though I look horrible. I never wear cute tank tops, or short sleaves, because I am afraid that people will notice how hideous my skin is. I mean, even in Hollywood, you will see attractive curvy, short, "unique" women who don't fit the tall glamourous sterotype, but you don't see any with skin issues. I mean, I can't think of one actress with moles or freckles. Okay, so I guess I would like to know two things:

  1. Is it possible to find people with skin issues, such as these, attractive? I feel so ugly because of my skin, how can others find me attractive? I mean, people have asked me out/told me I was pretty, but I don't see how. And even if they do think so, they haven't seen my skin (I wear really concealing clothes).
  2. How can I make them look less noticable? I have really really white skin, so the brown spots stand out like a sore thumb. Should I go tanning? I have thought about it; I know having moles, it's probably not a good idea to tan (skin cancer), but I can't stand it any more!

I just need some honest opinions here. How can I get over this? It really limits me concerning my self-confidence. I mean, I am tall, curvy (I love my height and body), not bad looking, smart, but I hate my skin!

Go see a dermatologist. And remember that you probably see flaws people don't even notice. There's people who just love freckles and consider moles to be beauty spots.

Hi!

Skin whitening cream may remove some freckles and sun damage on your skin. [internet Search] it. Or you may try the creams by Shiseido (that's the brand I'm using). Be sure to use sunscreen if you are using the whitening.

Precisely! It's probably a lot worse in your eyes than it would be in someone else's. Besides, we all have flaws that we notice, most of which others don't.

Ditto the others. Those Hollywood pictures are air-brushed, use good lighting, and lots of makeup. I read an article once about how some actors and especially actresses do not like the new HDTV because it shows up their own skin problem. Remember, you see yourself differently than others see you - they probably don't or won't notice the moles, etc. as much as you. Lots of people think freckles are cute!
