Feedback appreciated. Can anyone relate?

Hi there,

 

I wanted to post anonymously here. And wondered if I could get some advice here. Im in my early 30's, male, have a decent job, still living with the parents due to high living costs in my area.

 

Lately, all of my favorite interests haven't been keeping me interested.

 

Watching movies, watching cartoons, driving my car, meeting my friends, even my work hasnt been keeping me interested. My computer which has always been there for me, doesnt keep me interested either lately.

I also like to cook, but it hasn't been keeping me interested lately either.

 

I do have a girlfriend, but she lives pretty far. We talk all the time, chat, and everything is great on that front.

 

But everything else isnt that all that great. I dont really feel motivated to do anything. I wake up, get ready for work, work, go home, sleep a little bit, talk to my girlfriend, sleep more. And the cycle continues. In there, sometimes i throw a little reading or do something mindless like stare at the ceiling.

 

When I do wake up, i feel tired or i dont want to get up either.

 

When, I go to work, i dont want to work. When I watch my cartoons, i dont want to watch cartoons. When i watch a movie, i dont want to watch a movie.

 

Im not sure if I am bored or if I dont like my hobbies anymore.

Im not sure if anyone else has had these feelings.

Could it be im bored with my life, or i dont have much motivation?

 

Either way, i guess it boils down to that it doesn't make me happy for some reason. Im not sure if this post even makes sense. If you have any kind of feedback, thank you in advance.

No offense, but yes your life does sound boring. So....

 

1. Move out from home, expensive housing is no excuse. Go share with a mate.

 

2. Do some active hobbies rather than computers, cartoons and movies.

 

3. Travel

 

4. Go volunteer at an animal shelter, or soup kitchen etc. It will really make you feel good. It works for me when I'm feeling s***e.

 

5. Try a different sex position with your gf :laugh:

You sound like you're depressed. Depression doesn't need a 'cause' other than that the chemicals that your brain uses to regulate mood are out of whack. Go see your physician and talk about all these symptoms. You may need meds, counselling, or both to get you back on track.
