the tango
This is a story of two men... Tall, strong, educated, 24 year old military man seeking a sweet girl with whom he can bake cookies with and buy her expensive things. He's sweet, sensitive, layed back and charming. He's everything a young woman could want. Tall, skinny, just starting school, 23 year old delivery driver seeking a woman with whom he can spend long periods of time watching t.v. with and occionally needing to borrow 20 bucks from. He's sweet, funny, layed back and has good intentions. He's everything a young woman has doubts about. This is my story. I am the young woman that both of these men have fallen for and in a way, I have fallen for both of these men. Yet, as of now, I am not officially dating either. But because I am me, I cannot live this way. I need to make a choice based on my gut-feelings. Here's the problem: with guy #1, I have already tried to form a relationship with and in the end, I decided that being friends worked best for us. And it was working. We've been very close. Until last night. A few glasses of wine, a few back massages later and we were closer then ever... Hmmmm... Guy #2 doesn't know about guy #1 because I didn't think we'd ever get our romantic feelings back. I didn't plan it, I was a little tipsy at the time. But one thing I do know, I liked it. Alot. It was comfortable because I know him so well and it was also so convenient. Have a given guy 2 a fair chance? Should I stop kidding myself and give in to guy 1? Before I invest myself more with either of them, what sould I do? How can I tell which one is truly for me?
Tony T
I think it's terribly wrong to judge an encounter or your feelings for a person by that which is experienced after a few glasses of wine. Alcohol is nice to lower your inhibitions for sex, I suppose, but it's not really great for seeing just how you feel about a person. I think a giraffe would look pretty good to me if I got enough drinks in me...Gawd forbid!!! And what a challenge. You don't have enough reliable data on either of these guys to know which one you should stick with. While you're in the decision making mode, lay off the alcohol and pay attention. From a very practical standpoint, guy #1 seems like the type who would make a good provider and sustain a nice lifestyle for you. But do you have the feelings for him that can keep it together over time? Are you fond of him for the nice things he buys for you? Guy #2 is a bit of a bum, may be fun, but won't get you down the road too far. You never want to keep a guy around you have doubts about. Have you thought about the possibility of looking around for some other guys who may be better suited to you than these or are they the only two eligible men in your town? Maybe guy #1 may be the right one here but only you can decide. See if you can make whoopee and enjoy the intimacy as much sober.
