Quinch
Do you work in an office? I think slouching over a desk all day would contribute to it (gravity pulling your nipples down). 3 sessions of 10 minutes aerobics a day, progressing to 2 sessions of 30 minutes should help. I got an exercise DVD to help me - choose your sexy lady instructor
The slayer
Go and see your Doctor, there can be many causes of man boobs, and it would be a good idea to check it out.
Tony T
Put "gynecomastia treatment" in your favorite search engine. Good luck!
Outcast
Um. It's a medical condition, not caused by bending over a desk.
Shyguy86
Most likely not just excess fat, like said earlier it could be gynecomastia which is a hormone inbalance. Go to your doctor!
cinnamongirlfla
I am a nurse and I agree with a prev answer: GO TO A DOCTOR -- NOW! Don't SUFFER for NO REASON !!!!! You can be MEDICALLY TREATED & it will seem like you've had your own PERSONAL MIRACLE -- as medicine today can correct this problem! Bon-Chance (French for GoodLuck!). burning 4 revenge
I saw this the other night on television. Like Tony T says it could be gynecomastia. The surgery to fix it was fairly cheap compared to other major operations, i think it was like $7,000. Insurance might even cover it
Outcast
It can usually be treated with meds.
burning 4 revenge
It can usually be treated with meds. not really
Outcast
Hey, you can use search engines just like everyone else. You have to watch what information you read on the 'net. It's not all accurate. NIH or the CDC can be relied on for medical matters.
burning 4 revenge
it depends on his age. if he is still developing then meds can help, but much of the tissue hardens. i just saw this on a plastic surgery program on discovery health channel. they were discussing exactly this point and the doctor said most of these cases require surgery. all of this is assuming it's legitimate gynecomastia
burning 4 revenge
I was just looking around the net and it seems most insurance companies don't cover it, but most of the doctors who do this surgery will finance it
Outcast
Best he should be finding out from his doctor what's up and getting advice there, not reading some partly-remembered bits of a TV show.
Fun2BMe
Have you all noticed how more and more men are having boobs? I think from what I have read that it is from the meat and dairy we eat. Hormones are injected in cows to produce more milk and in chickens to develop larger breasts. The average cup size for women has increased as well (not taking into account surgeries). Outcast
People are just fat. Period. The problem is hormonal in some folks (as in their own hormones, not from food) but in many cases it's just flab. Humans are fatter than they ever have been and since boobs are fat...

littlekitty
ya im 17 rite now and im kinda embarrased to just see a doctor about my problem.....is there really meds i can take? We can't really confirm that 100% for you. You do need to speak to your doctor. But put this way, what's worse? Living with the issue and trying to hide it, or just having to show the Doctor once and then getting some help for it? It's not your fault and there's nothing you can do about it alone. But just one trip to the Doc's and one moment of embarrassment and you could be getting the help you need.

lindya
Sorry if anyone's already mentioned this (I haven't read the whole thread) but there's a nice irony in the fact that the thread directly above this one is titled "I want implants". Perhaps the two thread starters could get together and work out a mutually beneficial solution?
