a4a
Again another topic off the wall had with the H. Funeral Fights. The Dead LSer post brought this back to mind. Now I have had several straight, gay, married, just living together friends that have experienced the funeral fights with the deceased family when their SO died. The family comes in and tries to clean out items from their home, calls a priest when the departed stated they did not want a religious funeral, fights about what the departed should wear....... cremation or burial fight..... plots to be next to the first deceased spouse (grown children seem to do this often) So after discussing this with my H we have decided not to even tell his siblings if he dies until he is already dead and scattered. His choice so it shall be done. Any funeral fight stories out there?
laRubiaBonita
those are not really Fights...... more like Time-of-Stress squabbles. the bad one are usually post funeral, when the allotments to inheritance and stuff is made. I am aiming to be in great debt when i die....... that way no one feels left out or has to fight for a negative share of my pie!

In fact, when my house equity is sorted out I may well just sell it and spend it all and sod the lot of them
