How can i Lose Weight, without looking like a Skeleton?

Here's my deal...

I went thru a major weight loss/diet/exercise

regiment about 6 years ago, where i was real thin

and got super skinny. It was due in part to being

overweight. I'm 5'10 i weighed 177 and i got down

to almost 140. I just wanted to get healthy and

stopped eating meat, stopped drinking soda, etc.

Some said i was a waif and was too skinny, etc etc.

Anyway, time has passed, i haven't exercised like that

for a while and i've gained it all back. Maybe 10-15 lbs of

it has been in the last year or so...i've been eating and

drinking poorly.

Some people who haven't seen me in years tell me i

look sooo good, that I look wayy better, more meat on my bones

and i agree. When i look at pics of myself from even two

years ago, i think i look better Now. I think i was way too

scrawny looking.

However, NOW, I suffer from the little beer belly, a bigger rear

end, and tiny man boobs. Nothing shocking, but not flattering

in the bedroom, if you know what i mean. I don't look fat

at first glance, but certainly not in shape or toned.

I'd like to tone up and lose few fat pounds But i don't want to

lose the weight in my face or neck and look scrawny and skinny

again...

What's a normal weight for a guy who's 5'10"? I wanna use a few

dumbells but not get huge, I just want to look normal and

inshape....a nice build.

If you do a search on 'normal weight for a man' or even 'BMI' you'll find charts of weight and height. You have to take into account your musculature, too. I knew one guy who was 200 lbs and 5'8" but he was all muscle packed hard so he didn't look fat.

Anyway, exercise is important for overall health so you should be doing it whether you're fat or not.

thanks for the advice.

that does make sense to do more weights and

not tons of cardio, but enough cardio for what i

need. and i see the connection between being

able to burn more calories, with more muscle.

Way back when, i was doing cardio til i dropped and

no weight training at all.

I like where i'm at, i'd just like to tone up. I don't mind

being heavier (weight wise), just not flabby or fat.

thanks for the

help.

what kind of cardio did you do to lose the fat? thats what i need to do. i'd rather be super skinny than what i'm at now. i'm about 5'11'' and about 200-210lbs. i'd like to get back down to around 160-165 like i used to be and then start toning up.

I recommend the tried-and-true, no-equipment-required regimen:

Push-ups for upper body

Sit-ups or crunches for abs

And jogging for cardio and lower body

This can be done anytime, anywhere and no gym membership is needed. You will need to invest in a good pair of running shoes though.
