C factor
How can you tell if a guy is actively persuing a friendship or a romantic relationship? I have a guy friend who has recently been taking me out to concerts, the ballet, fancy restaurants...all that good stuff. But he has yet to tell me he likes me more then a friend. He doesn't hold my hand or try to kiss me goodnight. I am interested in knowing if his feelings for me have changed, because I think mine are starting to change. How should I go about asking him? Thank you!
Ed
How can you tell if a guy is actively pursuing a friendship or a romantic relationship? I guess it's pretty obvious to you now, without physical and/or verbal indicators, you can't tell! All you know is he wants you (or somebody) to accompany him to these social outings. You can't gauge his intentions by this. Your best chance at "guessing" his motive for seeing you is to see how he acts around you under less formal circumstances. Do you ever see him when there is no planned activity, like, spending time together just for the sake of being together? Doing so could eventually lead to finding out what he sees in you, but you will have to talk about things other than, music, art and food. How should I go about asking him? You might just have to be blunt about it. Guys can be rather dense and ungraceful sometimes when it comes to romance. It would probably be best to try to flush it out of him in an indirect way first and find out just how dense he can be about it. One possible way is to tell him how you feel about spending time with him. If you feel you are not good with this kind of thing, go to a local gift store and browse their selection of greeting cards. I'm sure you can find a card that comes close to saying what you want to say without being too pushy or too mushy. Possibly, this will elicit like conversation from him. Another easy way is to go to a romantic movie, or better yet, rent a romantic movie and watch it at home, just the two of you. You did not say how long you have known each other or how well you know each other. That leaves the door wide open from my perspective. All I can say is you'll have to get to know him on a more private and personal level.
yes
I personally dislike verbal discussions, so if i were u, i'd try putting my head on his shoulder, or holding his hand an extra second, or giving him a hug. You'll be able to tell what he wants by his response. Best of luck How can you tell if a guy is actively persuing a friendship or a romantic relationship?
