5 years differnce!!!!!

Well, five years isn't that big of a difference; unless you are like 16 and he is 21, then it might be a little weird. I would say if you are 18 or over, five years isn't anything to worry about. Now the issue I would think is most prominate in your situation is the fact that you two work together. If things don't work out, you will still have to see him on a daily basis at work, and he can make things miserable for you. So, you just have to deside whether or not it is worth the ackwardness that might follow.

I say if you like the guy, and you don't mind having to find a new job if things go astray, then go for it! :D

I am currently dating a guy who is 5 years younger than I am. (definately not the norm - I am 30 and he is 25) Initially it bothered me too - but then I just thought "to hell with it" I am happier than I have ever been and he treats me like a queen - what else could possibly matter? One way or another my life will have been better, richer and definately more fun!! :p

I dated a man who was ten years older than me.

Of course that doesn't guarantee any added maturity, which is why we are no longer dating.

is it wrong to go out with this lad that i really like coz he is 5 years older than me and we work together?????????????????

Theres 5 yrs difference in me and my husband and we've been together for 17yrs. Give it a try. Every relationship takes lots of work, but I dont think it's a age thing.
