How to initiate talk with this girl?

At my work place, Coles, there is this girl who works as a checkout chick. Anyway I think she's really cute and wanna get to know her and what not but I work in a different department (Dairy, basically unless needed, I won't go to the checkouts much) and don't really have the opportunity to talk with her.

 

I was thinking of buying something silly (chocolate bar etc) and get served by her and start from there but what else could I do?

Sounds like a plan. And I would - not that I'm necessarily saying otherwise - get out of the habit of calling her creed a "checkout chick." Being that fast on a keypad is a real skill!

I understand. It's more a "state of mind" thing. I mean, are they "chicks" because guys suck at doing things efficiently - or what?!

Right. Maybe try to do it when there is nobody behind you? Or are they always too busy?

Well thats the thing. Unless the store is empty like, if they see that the line is short, they are gonna line up in that line.

 

Even worst if she's working express line.
