If you feel you are getting on with them well and you feel that they think the same then pluck up the courage and give them yours, I'm a shy person but I managed to give a guy I liked by number. you've just gotta tell yourself that you will regret it and kick yourself later if you don't do it! Can I borrow yours?" If you're older, just try the standard, "Hey, want to get together and do something? What's your number?" More direct, appears much more confident too! And use humor. I was in the grocery store last night to pick up a couple of things. In the checkout line, I realized I had "healthy heart" orange juice and a pound of sausage (among other things) in the same pile. I couldn't resist pointing out the irony to the lady in front of me. Walk Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 I just wanted to point out, that sometimes if a woman isn't giving out her digits, then you could offer her yours. When I was single, I wouldnt' give out my phone number to someone I didn't know. Too many weirdo's out there. So I'm sure I came off as disinterested to some guys, when in reality, I was just trying to protect myself. But they wouldnt' offer their number, so they passed up a fabulous opportunity with me.
